    I had heard about poor service from them, and wasn't going to spend my money there. Just waiting 2 weeks now for delivery from ND aquatics, who have been first class throughout. Personally i would get your money back, via polite email and then charge back due to unreasonable production lead time.

    I use to store and heat water to the correct temp, but now all i do is use a split hose with hose locks connections on my hot and cold water taps and turn on. Easy. :mrgreen:

    I used the AE set of 5 tools, but mostly used the long tweezers, and also a JBL razor blade like glass cleaner, and a dustpan for sculpting aquasoil.

    I checked my bottles of Protozin (not marine), and if the dosing is done the same, over days, you probably will be ok. But on the safe side, i'd probably do a 50% water change as you have pointed out different chemical structure of the products. How is everything doing at the moment?

    Here's a few... While carrying out a large water change, using mains water being run into the tank via a couple of rubber hose joined with 15mm plastic pipe. Well someone stepped on the rubber hose (probably me), which caused the pipes to come apart. So there is mains water being run inside...

    Personally if your following everything that Clive has said, then i feel that it's your 2 wet and dry filters that may be letting you down, removing to much Nitrate and Co2. Unless of course there is some benefit that i am unaware of myself. Good luck, and please don't give up. :mrgreen:

    Me bad. :lol: :lol: But too keep stems nice and long for a deep tank, you have to pull them out, cut to desired length, cutting off the roots, then re-plant. Thats why i only have 4 stems in my tank. :roll: But if you want the bushy effect, then hack away. :mrgreen:

Did you see the Eustralis Stellata mother plants in that tank, these came from my tank not soo long ago but i wanted to minimise on background plants. But i do like HC foreground...

    Ok Dan i put the tweezers in, and i did get a few little bubbles, probably around 2-5 each time. I put the tweezers right through the gravel and deponit mix, so about 10cm all the way to the bottom. So is it rip out time. :( . Maybe :mrgreen: . Andy, i have had the odd bit of blue/green...

    Yes, could be an eggy / dust bin smell. I was thinking about removing the deponit mix, heating cables and replacing with ADA amazonia, and not having such a thick substrate. What do you think? Could it be the deponit mix going anaerobic, or the 100's of trumpet snails digging...

    Hi Sanj, you said your house was previously a two up, two down property, is the house from a round the turn of the Century? Maybe worth having a check of the condition of the boards where the new tank will be kept, have a check for any wood worm in the floor boards and also the joists below...
