Anyone bought a large tank from Aquariums Ltd?

I saw a rimless 250 litre opti-white being setup for marines this week made by Aquariums Ltd, and i was impressed by the whole package, included the cabinet too. When mine is due for change, then i'll be buying from them too.

Ehiem External - where to fit hermetic seals?

Here you go... http://www.eheim.de/eheim/pdf/en/ersatz ... rof_GB.pdf According to the PDF file, you have only 2 trays, so one seal for each, the other will be a spare. If you had the next model up with 3 trays then all would be used. Regards, Dan.

DIY Project home made lighting stand's hints & tips

Re: saintly's home made lighting stand Ahh, i see, very clever. TDI's top tip If you was using the white plastic pipe for real (ie mains water), you would need to add an insert to strengthen the pipe, between the cut pipe and compression fitting.

    Plans for 14 foot tank

I basically use 2KG a month on my 720 litre tank, this is on 24/7 and is fed about 1-2 bubbles per second. Mine is refilled at a local fire prevention centre.

    Plans for 14 foot tank

For large pieces of wood for my tank, i talked to Aqua Essentials, one of the site sponsors, who managed to find this piece of wood for me. It is very difficult to find very large scape friendly wood in the UK, and ones that will fit in the tank with the brace bars in too...

14 foot Planted Tank ................ is it possible ?????

My tank is 720 litre, so nearly half of yours, i use an Eheim Pro 3e 2078 (700 litres) and an Eheim Pro 3 2075 (600 litres), and i am thinking about adding a third one too. Once you start adding CO2 reactors and in-line heaters, the flow starts to drop. And you'll probably need a few of these too.

    Headache with water change system

Lol boiler fish. I think i'd probably try runnning to hoses in parallel, both cable tied together and cut to the desired length, either tee at the end or both into the tank at the same with a shepherds crook.

    Slow R.O. unit

Hello and welcome to UKAPS, i've used RO units before, but when it comes to planted tanks, you really don't need pure water. Infact you'll find the majority of us add phosphate and nitrate too. What are you tank stats, lighting, substrate and plant dosing regime, and livestock?

Aquarium Controllers / Computers in the planted aquarium.

I've got 2 Dennerle computers linked to mine, CO2 is by ph computer but i don't recaliberate often and i basically let it run 24/7 due to tank size, the other one was for my heating cables (which are gone btw), so this just gives me accurate digital temperature.

These connections are really good, i use these at customers houses when they don't have an outside tap. I would say they fit 80% of taps, but if you have a mixer tap with a very curved spout, then you'll be wasting your time.

At present i have an Eheim Pro 3 2078 which uses a spray bar, and i have fitted an Eheim Pro 2 2028 at the other end. I haven't put any kind of spray bar on this end. So the flow is straight out of the flow pipe. Is there any critical problems i could get?
