It might also be worth trying to make the air vent holes bigger, as some of the noise could be the sound of air blowing past these. I certainly remember hacking metal grates off the back of PC cases back in my PC modding days, trying to make silent PCs. Can you run the fan with out the casing...

Re: Saintly's 'savannah dreaming' I've managed to get a few decent ferns and bolbitis in exactly this way. I got a massive narrow java fern on bogwood, and a humongus bolbitus for £25. Probably a good 8 pots worth from each specimen! Needless to say the bogwood ended up in the garage ;)

To echo what Viktor has said above, you'd need to use a couple of needle valves, one for each of the splits. I split my CO2 on a tank once and without the needle valves I had to have the regulator opened up quite a bit. Even then I didn't get an even amount of CO2 out of the two diffusers...

L series are the Canon professional range of lenses. You can tell by the fact that they're white, not black like other Canon lenses :)

I want some plain white backgrounds for my tanks. Like poster paper or something. Great setup mate :)

I always shoot in RAW :) Getting the hang of producing an OK photo on full manual mode, but nothing really special as yet!

I need to look at trying to get a second light source for photos. The main tank I'd be interested in photographing is my 60cm, and that's only got 2x24w T5's over it.
