    TMC Mountaray bracket dimensions

That image Mark linked to says it all... It's about 29cm once mounted :| It'd work over my other tank I guess. I think I'll have to investigate suspending the tile above the tank some other way in that case. Thanks for the Link Mark :)

    TMC Mountaray bracket dimensions

Hey folks. I'm interested to know how the Mountaray bracket fits over a tank. How far forward does the tile sit when mounted with one? I ask, as I'm thinking about one over a nano, which is about 20cm front to back. Just concerned it may be too big.

Have we got any good nano LED ideas yet?

Second the TMC mini, although if you want to control/dim it you'll spend more on a control unit. Also, mounting brackets/rails are extra.

    TMC Grobeam 1500 Ultima Questions

Might need to double check that. I posted that link for Rebus' benefit, but looking at it you might need that one. It seems the Aquarays and Aquabeams differ judging by the description of that one at AE. I guess the tiles pull more juice :)

You can get a controller that will work with multiple tiles, like this one at Aqua Essentials: http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/tmc-aquaray-multicontrol-8-output-dimming-controller-p-4942.html (This one does 4 tiles)

    TMC Grobeam 1500 Ultima Questions

The real downside to the TMC tiles (and maybe other manufacturers?) is that all of the mounting kit is often seperate. I concede that this gives you some great flexibility on buying only what you need, but it's one of those hidden costs. Check out George's current scape in the featured...

Hey John. How about something like the Giesmann Infinity halide/T5 combo? As I was saying earlier, you could run it on the T5's, with the halides as a "mid-day burst". They do a 1x150w MH and 4x24w T5 unit which is 60cm long. It could work? I'm sure there are other manufacturers out there...

Well, success! Essentially, after a lot of trial and error (involving building and stripping down the light several times!) I got it sorted. I had to use the new MH socket, as I was unable find replacement parts for the original socket that was damaged. So, a series of modifications followed...

CO2 is a more important consideration really. You will need to consider a good CO2 setup and then taylor the lighting to suit the type of plants you want to grow. More light = faster growth (if CO2 and ferts are in balance).
