    Pondless waterfall....

The green water issue, would this be combated with large amounts of plants? Also, would the algae not need a decent amount of light to thrive and cause green water? If it's a small waterfall that goes to a covered reservoir (covered by rocks and plants) then would it get a chance to turn green?

    Pondless waterfall....

It's a good idea, as you could grow some pond/marginal plants, or create a bit of a wetland :) Would quite like a pond though but this at least gives you some water without the need for a filtration system and the maintenance that comes with it.

    pond plants

Sounds like a nice project :) I'd love to have a pond. Some day... Not really sure about plants to be honest. How deep is it? Does it have terraces to give different depths for planting?

    Tomato fertilizer

Any details as to what's contained in the product you're using? I assume NPK, but does it say what quantities etc? I remember Clive was using EI on a large pond as a test and it worked really well :)

    Our garden pond...

If it were my pond I'd love to give it a good going over and stamp my own personality onto it. I'd be all up for big lumps of rock etc. I'd actually consider a bit of an iwagumi looking thing, with low growing plants :) I'm in the situation where my garden is huge and perfectly suited for a...

Journal My New Filter and Pond - Lots of pictures

Would love an update Ed :) Do you do anything to prepare for winter, and does your cleaning regime slow as the fish go into their dormant state (for want of a better term)? I assume they produce far less waste at this time?

    Pond dechlorinators

I use NT labs Aquasure pond dechlorinator. 10ml does 180 litres or 40 imp gal :) Makes it easy on my rio 180 as I do about 1/3 water change which means approx 3ml of dechlorinator.
