They do operate over 2.5 bar you just have to adjust the Allen key nut on the front even tells u in the instructions. It’s just set to 2-2.5 from the factory
I hope someone can help me out. I ran out of Co2 today and went to swap my tanks over same as I always do. Screwed on the reg and gradually turned it on but no matter what I do co2 gushes from the tiny vent hole in the bottom of the reg next to the thread. Any ideas before I end up wasting a...
I don’t think many people use them I’m sure I read they can make it fluctuate to much with it constantly trying to change the ph to whatever it’s set to
Scratch that back to ur suggestion. Had the crappy spare set up which was abit iffy had to readjust the bubble count twice. So just went to check up on it and it was hissing so giving up on that I can wait for the new one. Wasted so much co2 lately. My first 500g lasted 5.5 weeks and that was...
My reg has a dodgy needle valve which i believe its also leaking from. Will my tank be ok without Co2 for a couple days while I wait for a new reg to arive?
I wouldn’t use glycerin either I think the non return valve is leaking water in a bubble counter doesn’t evaporate. It might a tiny bit but not the whole lot
Is that summut u can buy in Wilkos? We have very low kh so doubt it's calcium. Think I'm gonna soak in peroxide and rinse then soak I that stuff and try it again
I really can't figure out what the hell is going on. I have a jbl reg ect going through a up inline atomiser. I had it turned off for about 2 weeks cyz u had a hair algea outbreak which I was zapping with excell. Before I turned it off I had a lime green dc. Since I've turned it back on the...
i think the jbl bubble counter fails due to the higher than normal working presure needed to work the atomiser.get one of them sealed ones and a metal non return that sorted my probs
I said rubber seal the o ring is a rubber seal you reply like 95% of your replies are what is considered flaming by most people and only exist to irritate people and by the looks of it your pretty good at it. So unless you want to earn the status of a forum troll I suggest you start being less...
If your bubble counter is filling up I think u have water syphoning back which could be a lack of pressure. And yes use 4dk water not tank water in your dc
Well mines still green this morn not lime but still green and it don't go yellow in the day and there no gasping and it's only about 2 or 3 bps so it's barely turned up
the co2 will lower your ph a drop checker is pretty much a perminant ph visual monitor. You also want to fill it with 4dk water or get the 4dk and bromo mix all of which you can get from our sponsor aqua essentials aswell as our other sponsors
I'm not sure why half an hour b4 lights out it's just what everyone does my drop checker is still green in the morning so I'd say it won't be used up in half an hour lol. I have my lights on for 8 hours
Looks fine to me, have a look on eBay quite often see empty jbl tanks on there. There was 1 for sale on here a while back you could also go the fe route
heres what I use and alot of people on here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CO2-magnetic-valv ... 2eb30f0688
Also Id go with a refillable tank which alot of fire extingisher service places will fill up. I get my jbl 2kg tank filled for £8
wasnt sugesting that i was just stating that the quality of sertain parts are not great. This is a forum after all and everyone is entitled tho their opinion no matrter what you think lol. For the record I wasnt telling anyone to do anything sheeesh :p
i binned my jbl bubble counter as it was not airtight and leaked co2 out id of thought if the preasure is right there should be no back wash. Ive also just replaced the jbl non return for a brass one as it leaked and let water syphon back.
If the drop checker is lime green then its perfect at...
all sorted now thanks to chilled lending me his solenoid and me buying another BC and a medical grade brass non return valve. I think the problem was a dud jbl non return leaking co2 and allowing water to syphon back causing the solenoid to knacker and my reg not to work properly. I put the reg...
Right my CO2 situation or lack of as I havent been running it for days as the solenoid died and still havent managed to get another yet. I was also waiting for a bubble counter as i broke it getting it off grr. Well the new TMC one came today and its s**t its not even air tight so that leaks so...
Cool that's the kinda price I was hoping for do u know if they will refill a jbl tank? Really I used to live in molton well for a year down Raleigh mead. Thanks for the offer I have a spare full 2kg
im uber stressed at the mo I think my jbl regulator is fooked! come home today an the bubblecounter wasnt doing much i noticed the tank had emptied even more down in the red to about 10 (this has realy pished me off as its only lasted 5-6 weeks and cheapest refill Ive found down here is MA at...
I have a jbl proflora regulator and 2 kg tank it's been running for about 5 weeks and the needle hasn't moved bellow 50psi all the time. Then Friday it went down 2 lines, yesterday 2 more and today it's just in the red zone is this normal? If so i was hoping 1 tank would last longer gonna let it...
It needs to go right around the tank so all the plants get some. You would probably be better off with the diffuser under the filter outlet. If you have only been running co2 for 2 weeks that's prob why you haven't noticed a dif yet. I could be wrong I'm a noob but that's what I've read and been...
How much surface movement can you have befor you start losing your co2? mines rippling but I cant hear a thing so i assume its not actualy breaking the surface
hc mostlys dying? Will they rejuvinate now the co2 is working? :0( gutted all my valis and hc are going poo
on the plus side my drop checker wich is now down the far end looks like this
my ph has dropped from around 7.6 - 8-8.2 to around 7 will it stay at 7 if i leave the co2 as it is...
its gone green now but its not far from the filter outlet from when i was panicing about the co2 not working should it be down the oposite end? 1 last question how long does it take for the plants to start kicking in?
my suspisions where correct it was the bloomin bubble counter! I even found the o ring amongst some other bits the bloke sent with my co2 set but it still leaked. So what ive done at the mo is turn the needle valve up full added an inline needle valve (so i can control it better) between the...
I still reckon it's the jbl bubble counter that's the culprit as it don't even have any kind of rubber seal and it's not water or air tight. Gonna try it without when I get home and put the pressure up
I did have it round that way originally but someone told me yesterday I needs to b b4 the bubble counter so I'll swap it back gonna try without the bubble counter because I must be losing pressure because if it is t water tight it sure as he'll ain't air tight
The out pipe
Well the bloody thing is really peeing me off now just popped home and it had started syphoning my tank out so yeah I'd say it has water in!
I've personally not used it on another but the bloke I bought it off had it on one of them hideous jbl difusers. There's. Ot really a wrong way to I stall the atomiser except upside down. Yeah looks like there is water in it. Yeah u can adjust the bubble rate I even tried whacking it right up...
Because I can't see any mist and the drop checker is still blue even tho I've now put it right infront of the filter outlet. No haven't used tank water it's a Colombo drop checker u just use the reagent that comes with it (ae have told me the solution isn't very accurate so I've ordered some...
ok the tank specs are 48" x 16 x 22, Eheim 2076 pro 3e with a spray bar down 1 end and on full power so all the plants are swaying, Up inline atomiser, I have a drop checker but its still blue :0s.
Water params are:
TDS: 160
PH: Low range 7.6 High range 8-8.2
Ammonia: 4ppm (because im doing a...
Well it's working again now I think the new valve / tap the fillers fitted on the tank is abit tepremental as I gave the tap another twist (even tho it was on full yesterday) and it kicked in. Now back to my original question what bubble rate should I be at? It's about 1 a second at the mo. And...
