      See I very much doubt it's to much crud I Hoover up all poo and do 2 w/c a week  totalling 120 litres a week. I'd say it's a ferts and co2 issue (which I already knew but noone seems to be able to help they just say that's the prob). Drop checker is lime green and I dose 5ml of ppmd every day...

    If it is stag horn is that easy to get rid? The only thing that's worked so far was excel then it comes back after a month. Do you think removing the reflectors would help? This is what it looks like up close

    No that's not my tank. Also I should of put co2 goes off an hour b4 lights off not after. Do you think taking off the reflectors would help? Stats at the mo are: Ph: 6.8 Temp: 28 Nitrate: 20 - 25ppm Fe: 0.50 Gh: 6 Kh: 3

    Thanks gill dunno y it didn't work. It's 240l 48 x 16 x 22 or 24 can't rem lol, T8 lighting 8 hours a day, pressurised co2 hour before and after lights out thru an up atomiser and I dose PPMD 5ml daily and trace 5ml twice a week (because the iron levels where getting to high and the discus wernt...

    To answer your question I change about 55l twice a week. The plants seem to be doing well some being huge. I'll try and get a pic of the infection when the lights come on. What's h202 and would that harm the discus? Rudi

    Yeah all seems fine and it's a discus tank so gets a waterchange twice a week. I did wander if removing the reflectors will help. I think the fact the atomiser had stopped working didn't help. Am I dosing enough ferts? I don't add potassium nitrate to the mix cuz my nitrate stays about the same

    Its really starting to annoy me i think its BBA a very very dark greeny blue colour I seems to take hold on my big amazon sword thats in the line of fire from my filter and has started on the back of the tank. It seems to come I zap it with excell it goes for a month or 2 then its back again...

    Just wandered if anyone knows why im getting air algea? the tank ismoderately planted, I dose co2 with an up atomiser, the drop checker is lime green and I use aquarium plant foods fert mix. I seem to be getting hair algea on the plants that are in direct line of all the areas of water flow...
