    Chihiros A-Series, A601. 5800lm!!

How are you getting on with this unit? Even though I have a TMC Tile which set me back hundreds I've decided to get one of these because I'm hoping you get better tank coverage. That reaches the corners. Admittedly I did buy this one by mistake, I actually wanted the 602 but hey ho. You can't...

    Reccomend a light

Id say a TMC Tile for that size but perhaps a smaller one than my 1000ND

    Lighting for 60x45x30 Optiwhite

What is the general method of knowing if an LED is suitable for any given tank size? Watts mean something to me and I can have an idea of what is good enough but with LED's I dont have a clue what is good and what isnt. Ive just had a look on youtube for some examples of 1000nd tanks and George...

    Lighting for 60x45x30 Optiwhite

Im not dead set on anything yet, Im hoping to get a setup from scratch that fits my needs. I cant really justify hundreds on just a lighting unit but if thats what is necessary then thats what I'll do. At this stage im trying to gain advice on what works so I can get it all right when I come...

    Lighting for 60x45x30 Optiwhite

Would I get even light coverage with an allpondsolution kit? The ballast is 180mm wide and the tank would be 450mm.

    Lighting for 60x45x30 Optiwhite

Oh yes, I have an extinguisher with a solenoid. But last time I attempted this I had way too much light and my co2 probably wasnt right so I had major issues with algae. Im tempted to go for the 2x24w because it takes up less width at the top of the tank (Id rather not have a huge unit)

    Lighting for 60x45x30 Optiwhite

Fantastic, Thanks Joe, I hadnt considered them. The Prices and choices are very good. In which case, do you think 48W (2X24W) will be enough? I had calculated I may need roughly 50 Watts to get around 2w per gallon. If that sounds about right I think im sorted! Im hoping to make this my first...

    Lighting for 60x45x30 Optiwhite

Hi All, I will shortly be buying a 60x45x30 optiwhite and need some ideas for lighting. Unfortunately I dont have the means of suspending it from above so I think I'll need one that clips on the side. I dont really know what wattages to go for and what sort of unit to choose. Given the fairly...

    RIO 125 Lighting Upgrade

Hi All, Dont worry about answering, LondonDragon has helped me out. Ive gone for an external unit that can be attached to the underside of my lid and provide 2 x 28w T5's aswell as my current 2 x 18w T8's. I'll see how I get on. Not sure where I'll place the power unit though??? I'll guess it...

    RIO 125 Lighting Upgrade

Hi All, I have a Juwel Rio125 and have become more and more convinced that it has been designed without aquarium Plants needs in mind. I currently have the 80cm Lighting Unit with 2 x 18w T8 Bulbs...Which are Useless. I have considered paying about £100 for the 2 x 28w T5 Lighting Unit but I...
