Help!: New Oase Biomaster Filter Will Not Prime

I'm needing a bit of help myself with an Oase BioStyle 75 Hang on filter. Has anyone got one of these Oase Hang in the side filters. I bought this Oase BioStyle 75 Filters for a small Nano tank set up. I can't get the water to flow, its just gurgling and making a noise. It says it could take...

Help!: New Oase Biomaster Filter Will Not Prime

Did you ever get this sorted out? I know I made a mistake once by wrongly connecting the inlet pipe to the outlet on the filter, and outflow pipe to the inlet on the filter. Like you I sucked my lungs inside out but could not get any water to siphon into the filter and pumping did nothing...

Is expensive bio media worth it?

Thread Bump. I've just watched that Pimp Your Filter on the Oase 850 Thermal where he replaced the original tube for the pre filter and fitted a 20ml piece of overflow pipe instead with more holes in it. Did you try that as well or not bother. Thanks 👍

Eheim Professional 3 Thermo Heater Issue

I don't feel the 'click' . The button you press is permanently depressed. Even if it pops out and I press it, there is no click. It is possible that one day I pressed it too hard and now it is faulty. The heater is working, you just can't adjust it.

Eheim Professional 3 Thermo Heater Issue

It wouldn't be so bad if they offered a lifetime guarantee with their products, at least that could justify the high prices.

Eheim Professional 3 Thermo Heater Issue

Apparently their prices are pricing them out of the market. Their share in the market has bottomed.

Eheim Professional 3 Thermo Heater Issue

They are bringing out a WiFi controlled Automatic Feeder. If the reviews for WiFi Controller on the Eheim Light unit is anything to go by, what could possibly go wrong. According to my sources, sales of Eheim products are plummeting.

Eheim Professional 3 Thermo Heater Issue

Update. It is no option other than to buy a complete new canister for this filter. Not cheap at £265.00 :(:(

Eheim Professional 3 Thermo Heater Issue

Got no reply to my email to Eheim re this issue. They blame Covid-19 for everything these days.:shifty::shifty:

Eheim Professional 3 Thermo Heater Issue

Just been having an issue with the adjustment button below the LED Temperature Display on this Eheim Professional 3 Filter. Normally to adjust the temperatures you press and hold down the button, you usually hear it click at this point. Then the display starts flashing, each push and click then...

    Eheim Pro 3e 2078 problem

Power supply to filter is there, just the impeller is not responding. I'm guessing this is going to be a new Pump Head for the filter:(

    Eheim Pro 3e 2078 problem

Thread Bump Massive My Eheim Professional 3e Thermal Filter suddenly stopped with all the lights flashing, Red Green and Amber. No sound from impeller in filter. I've taken everything apart, cleaned everything, connected all back up, refilled the filter, used the priming pump as per the manual...

    Filter Media Questions?

Thanks Darrel, I'm going for the Siporax and Eheim Substrate Pro option. Thanks for your input

Filter media order - is the typical order wrong?

Does this mean you have to clean your filter a lot more often if the crap is being trapped in the bottom of the filter? I presume it will get clogged at the bottom fairly quickly and reduce the flow.

    Filter Media Questions?

Darrel, is this thing powered, or is it just filled via the siphon process and feeds the next filter. It certainly would catch all the crap, leaving the main filter full of Biological Media squeaky clean.

    Filter Media Questions?

So bin the BioHome stuff and replace with Eheim Substrate Pro? What is the difference between this and Siporax?

    Filter Media Questions?

Thanks Jon, I am thinkng of pre filters as an option. If I join two filters together in tandem, should the smaller filter feed the larger filter or the other way around? Also would both filters need to be powered on? Or just let the vacuum effect from the first filter feed the second filter...

    Filter Media Questions?

I have two Eheim Filters running on a 400 litre aquarium. Filter 1 is an Eheim Professional 3, Filter 2 is an Eheim 650 T Thermal filter. Each filter is filled with identical filter medium consisting of Eheim Efimech, the bio balls and Bio Home Ultra. The original intention was to get good...

Second hand Eheim 3E 450 query (too good to be true?)

Hi Jamie B, For £50.00 quid mate its a bargain, providing of course it doesn't leak, the seals are intact and the impellar is in good order. I am sure you could glue something on the bottom to match up. To be honesy I didn't know these filters had feet, I thought there were just rubber...

Eheim 2075 overkill for 72l aquarium?

Hi Mate I have just sold a few of my big tanks but kept all the filters, heaters and CO2 equipment. Because I had some ADA substrate left over plus a few plants a couple of shrimps and Ottocinclus I set up a small tank about 20 litres and planted it up. I connected my old Eheim Professional 2...

    R.O Filtration

I used an RO Filter for years and had no problems. However when you consider with EI we are adding minerals to the water and I used to use SERA mineral salts to re-mineralise the water, in the end I thought what's the point so now I just use tap water and did so when I had my Discus. The real...

    Inline heater + CO2 Atomizer

Cheers Hoggie, Ordered mine to today. AE say they don't do price matches but never commented on whether it was the genuine article. From what people have said so far they have had no problems so I'm in for £16.00 :D

    Inline heater + CO2 Atomizer

Thanks for the advice on the Hydor question. It is a big mark up on the AE one but I am not sure I can be bothered waiting 4 weeks, might just bite the bullet :| Any noticeable difference on your plants since adding your atomiser? Any chance of a before and after photo? Steve

    Inline heater + CO2 Atomizer

I am in exactly the same boat as you and just about to buy one for my Eheim Professional 2 which also has the 300 watt inline heater from Hydor. The UP Atomiser for the 16/22 hose is about £33.00 over here or £16.00 on eBay but they are from Hong Kong. Which one are you going for...

    Bubble Wall Dilema

Sorry, what I should have said is that I would do away with it altogether, I didn't mean actually throw it in the bin though :D There are uses for these aerators but perhaps not on such a grand scale. Steve

    Bubble Wall Dilema

This is just my opinion but I would bin it if I were you. It looks pretty looking at the picture but may be doing more harm than good. The fish won't swim in it because the air bubbles will interfere with their normal breathing pattern, and I am sure I read somewhere that the bubbles can burn...

    Best External Filter to buy?

Personally I go for Eheim everytime, I have got an Eheim Professional 2 on my Trigon 190 which I have had for about ten years. I have also got an Eheim Classic 2213 on another tank in the garage which I have had for almost 20 years. If you can't afford a new one look for a decent second hand...

Ceramic media vs sponges - any quantifiable benefits?

A guy called Alan used to run a place called Alison's Aqauatics in Caergwrle near Wrexham. He had some of the best planted tanks I have ever seen. People used to travel from miles around. He used SERA Siporax in all his filters and nothing else. No sponges, no wool no nothing. Eheim bucket...

    Cleaning behind Jewel filter

Do yourself one big favour, get shut of the Juwel Internal filter and get a decent external one. I cut mine out with a Stanley knife as soon as I bought it. Not are they a pain to maintain, they take up space in the tank limiting scaping and planting options, and truth be known probably are not...
