Did you ever get this sorted out? I know I made a mistake once by wrongly connecting the inlet pipe to the outlet on the filter, and outflow pipe to the inlet on the filter. Like you I sucked my lungs inside out but could not get any water to siphon into the filter and pumping did nothing...

Thread Bump. I've just watched that Pimp Your Filter on the Oase 850 Thermal where he replaced the original tube for the pre filter and fitted a 20ml piece of overflow pipe instead with more holes in it. Did you try that as well or not bother. Thanks 👍

I don't feel the 'click' . The button you press is permanently depressed. Even if it pops out and I press it, there is no click. It is possible that one day I pressed it too hard and now it is faulty. The heater is working, you just can't adjust it.

It wouldn't be so bad if they offered a lifetime guarantee with their products, at least that could justify the high prices.

Apparently their prices are pricing them out of the market. Their share in the market has bottomed.

They are bringing out a WiFi controlled Automatic Feeder. If the reviews for WiFi Controller on the Eheim Light unit is anything to go by, what could possibly go wrong. According to my sources, sales of Eheim products are plummeting.

Update. It is no option other than to buy a complete new canister for this filter. Not cheap at £265.00 :(:(

Does this mean you have to clean your filter a lot more often if the crap is being trapped in the bottom of the filter? I presume it will get clogged at the bottom fairly quickly and reduce the flow.

Darrel, is this thing powered, or is it just filled via the siphon process and feeds the next filter. It certainly would catch all the crap, leaving the main filter full of Biological Media squeaky clean.

So bin the BioHome stuff and replace with Eheim Substrate Pro? What is the difference between this and Siporax?
