That first scape is/was still a masterpiece.

Bit up and down with the plants and algae. (my older tanks did it better regarding plant grow etc....) Also the rotalas........... Got the h'ra and rotala rotundifolia etc from my old tank. In that setup they turned beautiful orang/purple and the h'ra bright red. Cheap LED light above etc. Now...

i dont know the exact price but must be something like: 2 sheets of MDF around 60 euro some screws 5 or 6 euro i already had the paint & woodglue etc in house so no need to buy a new can of paint So maybe to build it new would be around 100 euro all combined.

I noticed a photo with the output of a tube mounted to the light stand. I couldn't find the used dosing system/pump in this topic via the search. So i was wondering: which pump/system is connected on the other side of that tube? :P

Big trimming going on now. Only halfway with the ferns :S

Dont like moss that much. Used it years ago. Still cant get rid of it and it still grows on the circulation pump etc :p

Hey, I always kept reading the forums but less posting. Also tried different scape/styles in the meanwhile. Previous dutch scape: And i bought new lighting. No more 2x39W T5 & 150W HQI. Now using 4x39Watt T5 Much better plantgrow :) I think the HQI was to bright and burning the plants :P

hmmm been a while since i posted some updates of my tank :) After a nature tank a switched back to a dutch scape with nice plants. But after a while the nature is back. Shall make some better photos soon. here is one made with my phone as a sneak preview:

this was done by my hand. it was still hold to the soil. i did this to replant the UG :)

no idea which brand it is. i also use it for my larger tank and there the color is green :) so it works but in the iwagumi it was only at the beginning green. So i guess it is the soil that makes the orange effect :)

now it looks like: :P @george: what do you mean with the orange? (no it is not for the world cup :P). but i can;t get it greener, i only use the soil and a littlebit of CO2.

after some weeks it is again time to trim the plants. the UG is growing very fast. i like the soil even more with this plant grow :) update time:

foreground plant i used Utricularia graminifolia, middle Eleocharis acicularis and Pogostemon helferi the background i am using for blyxa japonica.

this is my first iwagumi :D well i tried to make a nice iwagumi scape :P some information about the tank: dimensions: 60x30x30cm lighting: 2x24W Filtration: Eheim 2213 i rescaped this tank again. the previous scape was boring and the driftwood was almost gone. so time to clean the whole tank...

thx all :) The problem is i can't get the rocks heigher. the bottom of the rocks are flat. this is the heighest position i can get them. so they are laying more on the substrate instead of in the substrate :P @george: yes i know the link :) placed it on my blog a few days ago :) but thanks...

made a new scape with some Seiryu stones and colombo substrate (all new for me :)) do you guys like it or do you see some things that can be imporved? (i need to fill the background with some more substrate to get a nice slope :)) My first iwagumi :roll:

say nice words to the plants. it helps. atleast they say plants grow faster,better, more beautiful when you say nice words to them everyday :P but great scape :)
