    Product Review NACD aquariums

I feel myself beginning to lose patience. I still intend to stick it out but I think it’s safe to say this will be the third and final order from me. Ordered May 31st. Obviously had no email response or update and they haven’t been in touch to organise the delivery when they said they would on...

Update, still not got it 😂

    Product Review NACD aquariums

FYI I called NACD and got a call back within a few minutes. My aquarium is made and is curing and then needs 3 days water testing. Basically he said 2 weeks max for delivery. He sounded apologetic and prepared to be moaned at but I was very pleasant. He did apologise and said they’ve had so many...

Sounds a bit like they might be ‘winding down’, but who knows… Or maybe the fact that eBay has a system for tracking deliveries within a certain timeframe wasn’t working out for him 😂

    Product Review NACD aquariums

That was my thought process - I’m not in a huge rush. Though I’ve gotten no response at all this time around, which is worse than previous orders. If I had read this thread prior to this order I might not have gone ahead. But as I said I plan to hang on as I don’t want to pay double somewhere...

Does seem highly negligent. I don’t know if he has a full time job along side this gig, given that he only passes the orders to a factory, or if this is his full time job. Either way 15 mins of email responses a day would be a massive improvement for all.

    Damn that’s a bad experience!

Yeah it’s not a great situation. If they were just upfront about delays it would help. I’m going to hold on to hope for a few more weeks.

    Product Review NACD aquariums

Well it’s a shame. I don’t mind waiting another month but I hope I don’t end up having to go the reclaim / refund route. Everyone else wants pretty much double the money for the same spec tank.

Did they mention the progress of the aquarium? I mean if it’s made then maybe you could actually get what you want?

I had to do this with my bank on some motorcycle parts, had to wait 60 days for no response until refund. Of course it may vary but that was HSBC.

    Product Review NACD aquariums

Ive used them a few times, delivery dates and comms are always poor, but quality and price have always been very good so far. Saying that I am chasing them again with no response to my order 29 working days ago (15-20 working days stated until delivery). Fingers crossed! Edit: I would advise...

    Product Review Nano Heater Review

Re: Nano Heater - Newattino Just a note to say that my Newattino Plus keeps the temp steady at 27 celcius in my 12L tank pretty much whatever the room temp. Bit of a shame it's higher than the stated 25.

    cleaning an old tank

I think siliconen = silicone

    cleaning an old tank

Ah, well if you have algae on the silicone, I'd use a small scouring pad. Elbow grease ftw

Don't understand what you mean by 'kit', but vinegar will remove limescale, and a razor will remove stubborn algae and anything else for that matter. That's all you should need.

    Biorb

Don't buy it, they are crap. Especially for planted tanks due to the filtration system. Problem with rounded glass is you can't get a good viewing angle, and everything looks distorted. Do a google search for 'clearseal aquarium', and buy one of them, you can get all different sizes for next...

I've emailed them, and gotten no response :( I can't see why they simply wouldn't respond at all!

Where else can I get one then? Could you maybe PM me a link or something? I have searched A LOT on google and couldn't find anything else except for Aquariums Ltd, but they did not respond to my emails...

    Removing braces from aquarium

I think I'll leave it for now and try to master laying out my little 54L. I just wish it was a bit taller! Hopefully can afford an optiwhite one day :) but god they are expensive!

    Removing braces from aquarium

Ah cheers, it's just I cannot afford to pay out for a rimless braceless one from AE or TGM. Very nice, shame about the price :(

Ooh, :? well that sounds dodgy. Maybe I'll re-consider.

    Removing braces from aquarium

So how did this go for people???? I want to get a 60x30x38H Clear Seal and remove the bracing too, they are only £30! BARGAIN! Any pics you can upload, or stories of success of failure on removing Clear Seal bracing?? :D :D

Ooh! Tankbuilder, now that sounds like a user we need to get to know better  (sssh)!

    Wave Maker !

Yeah, I agree with the 'more junk' thing, I was just thinking it would be nice to have some surface movement that isn't just a flat kind of circle that moves round, like when the light goes through slightly 'choppy' water, it makes the tank look far more dramatic! Like using a hairdryer of fan...

    Wave Maker !

Anyone ever used a small wave maker in a planted aquarium? It would increase flow, and move the surface more. And look nice I reckon :) I might try one but a very small one though... What do you think! :D
