I prefer ultra clean tanks that require very minimal upkeep to fit in with my lifestyle. I make an exception for the CRS as it is negated by the fact they dont make a mess! What would you suggest for the higher parts of the tank?

i dont understand why they are called lemon bristlenoses? to me, that would make them yellow. those are albino BN's, as they are white with the red eyes. prepare for thousands of babies!

have you also considered beckfords pencilfish sainly, they look just as good but have some nice red on them. :D

have some common sense, crypts and vallis have a large root system and thus are able to hold themselves to the substrate better. plants such as acicularis, HC, glosso etc do not have deep root systems and are uprooted by corries. you can JUST get away with it if those plants are well rooted for...

bogwood is a must as they rasp on it. veggies are also much prefered, even a lump of cucmber weighted down is appreciated. Hikari algae pellets also go down a treat.

pygmy corries would be your best bet tbh. as steve has said, they trilineatus would look out of proportion in a 60 litre. i have 6 of them in a 120L and they look about right, in a 60L im not so sure.....

have you thought about something more different like beckfords pencilfish? - they looks really nice, active, colourful and faily easy to keep. i think you could get 20-25 in your tank. what filtration do you have?>

i cant get a shot of mine, but they are in an old shot of my old 240L. you can clearly see the few that are a super deep red and those that are more pale which seem to be the ones the LFS's are selling. its not the best shot as they are not sideays on but you get the idea.

they are darker than the ones i have got recently, but the few existing ones i have are much darker than that. thing is my camera is aweful and with the flash on, the colours of the fish go!

i tried using my sis's sony camera and even thats having trouble as they are darting around. Its a mission!

they eat everything. i find good old aquarian tropical fish flake, with some tetra pro veg flakes in there as well. (you can crush some of it up in your fingers to make it easier for them to eat) be careful with tetra prima. It tends to get stuck in their throat and can choke them to death...

mine do get fed tetra prima, along with veg flakes, normal flake, powdered bloodworm, crushed algae and sinking pellets. i must get a live food cluture going, instead of keep buying it!

i will try to get a picture. i think mine might be just really well coloured up, as they arent hengeli either. i might have a scot around the local shops and see if any have them for sale.

as long as you use it sparingly and make sure you dont use it soley to feed the tropicals. if its flake stuff you will be fine.

please tell me this? how would an assasain snail eat cherry shrimp? there is NO WAY it would be able to catch them :lol: , i think something else is eating your shrimp :( an assasain would sort your problem and not have an effect upon your stocking.
