    a few issues..

    i have always found algae to me a pain in smaller tanks. as the parameters are so fine. however, something must be causing it! if spot dosing isnt having an effect then you got yourself some stubborn algae!

    its obvious, its a dracena species and will do better on your windowsil. not an aquatic plant, it will just rot, so take it out and get rid of the algae in one go!

    i would just like to nip in here and say that i did manage to get my GDA sorted through cuting down of lighting and a slight upping of ferts and co2. about a week or two after it cleared up i sold the tank to make way for my new project.... you may resume now :lol: its really interesting...

    im currently dosing about 4 ml of tpn every other day. i do have amacro and micro solution mixed up in the cupboard. - do you recommend i dose some of this as well? - if so which?

    hi guys i have a problem with this and was wondering how to get rid? i have read.... Description Forms on the glass creating a dusty appearance across the glass. Sometimes so bad you can't see into the tank. Cause Low CO2. Low nutrients. Quite common on new setups. Removal Easily removed...

    is there anything like this that will kill BBA? apart from the obvious easycarbo/excell. (or bleach) that is stubborn it my tank, almost killed all of it, then there is a few bits left over that wont go even with spot dosing. :twisted:

    the flow is immense, the juwel thing pumps along the back and the fluval along the front, the plants sway mentally and the fish seem to like fighting the flow. flow is the one thing i have alot of (shame its not cash :lol:) the bubbles go all around my tank as i ofen watch to check on that...

    right, i will absorb that info cheers. well the DC is just a blue green when lights come on, so i might crank that up a bit more. i dont want the diffuser to sing though! with easycarbo it says 1 ml per 50 litres so for me i would dose 2.5ml i normally dose 3ml anyway as i have 3ml pipettes. but...

    IMO, its due to fluctuating co2 and if your son has turned it off then that may be part of your cause. therefore it will be on, off, on, off etc and is not helping. there maybe some underlying issues but this is the obvious one.
