    Moss/Yoghurt mix questions

Too much yoghurt used. Use a tiny amount. Just to turn the water white really. Eat the rest. It's delightful

    Moss/Yoghurt mix questions

No. Specific yogurts are used, containing L. Acidophilus. Used for its anti fungal properties. I used 'Fage total 0% Greek yoghurt'. Cheers,

    Moss/Yoghurt mix questions

In the end I just used RO water with a touch of yogurt I think. It does the job in allowing the moss to key to the wood. Just takes so bloody long to get going!

Andys HC propagator step by step

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY EMERSED SETUP

I'd be inclined to say the soil looks too wet for DSM, thus bringing on the mold your experiencing. The balance is to keep every plant moist without getting the soil saturated.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY EMERSED SETUP

I wasn't meaning heating for warmth, but rather heating water inside the covered tank to keep humidity levels at max.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY EMERSED SETUP

Did you cover the tank, and heat the water below so they were in 100% humidity?

    Heater Mat

Yeah mate, definitely with you on that. The only thing I would really like to mist would be the branches of manzanita with moss attached. More just to see how prolific the growth would be. Yet totally unnecessary I know. :) My tanks a 90x45x45, do they do decent sized mats? Or am I more likely...

    Heater Mat

Hello FA, I intend mine to be used with RO water, as the nutrients will come from A substrate and possibly a mist with a sprayer with very weak dose of fertilisers in. Thanks for the reply, N

    Heater Mat

I'm looking at possibly getting a humidifier aimed at the vivarium market. http://bit.ly/1cVpaVy Do you think it's overkill? Anyone used one before? Has anyone got a DIY version? Cheers, N

    Heater Mat

Make sure the reptile mat is a decent quality and waterproof one. Check on waterproof! My mate owns a Local pet shop, and has water dragons. He was spraying them with water (which they love!) and left them. He came back to the habitat smoking like hell, filling the room with smoke too, and lost...

Lots of Dry Start Method questions!

Ideal then. I'd definitely of prefered presoaked too, but didn't realise you were wanting to strip down completely. Will you be doing an article on this tank in the coming months for PFK? Or is it to be used as product advertisement for TMC? Cheers,

Lots of Dry Start Method questions!

Hey George, Could you possibly, rather than stripping all this down, just tip a bottle of TPN+ into a spray bottle? And heavily mist the substrate to much of a similar effect to pre soaking? Without the need for total Annihilation and reconstruction? All glazers should stock 'Pilkington...

Lots of Dry Start Method questions!

Hottonia palustris Cultivation Naturally a bog / marsh plant and most plants sold have been grown emerse and need to be submerged in stages in the aquarium to encourage it to adapt and form submerse leaf forms. Can be kept in the cool or tropical aquarium. Give a good substrate, light and if...

Hahahaha! I had actually forgot! This your island & your forgotten nano are all top notch. I've lucked out more than anything with my CRS, found another 4 smiley face newborn CRS yesterday. Which really was pleasing. I think I'll eventually move the lower grades on and introduce some...
