Dry food for ember tetras - can't get them to eat

Mine eat ADA food. Never tried anything else. Like others said just try to starve them it's unlikely you will kill them and you should notice if they get too skinny.

    Buying fish on ebay?

Shipping fish is quite common in Australia but temperature is generally warmer. Still, had ember tetras in the post for 72 hours earlier this year and arrived fine and dandy. As long as they pack them well in poly box and multiple bags etc it's fine. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk

    Opinions

I think it would be fine. Maybe also consider more corydoras since they like groups. I would remove the internal filter unless you specifically need it - more space for plants etc. I had 60p tank, eheim classic 350 with the following stock: 10 Emperor tetra 12 Ember tetra 12 Cardinal tetra 5...

    Temperature for Blue Rams

Just got some German Blue Rams yesterday and heater is set to 25 C. Being in tropical Australia the tank is currently at 26 C and will probably be above 25 C most of the time anyway, however on some days in winter the heater temperature will be reached. 25 C was chosen because having a...

    alternative to cardinal tetras

I have the emperor's no problem with NQ Algae Shrimp, which like Amano's don't breed well in fresh water. They are quite aggressive against each other but nothing life threatening. This will also chase my ember tetras but again not serious. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk

    alternative to cardinal tetras

Had green neons before and they were good. Had tried cardinals and had the ich problem if I recall correctly. Getting cardinals again this week so fingers crossed. Pencilfish prone to jumping I think if you have open top.

    Shoaling/Schooling fish?

It's only a small sales tank and unfortunately most of them have now sold! When I go back to work if there are some more I'll try and remember to take a picture on my phone. But we had anubias on wood in there and they would sit on the leaves and sort of shoal up in the corner of the tank.

    Shoaling/Schooling fish?

I have to say they are very nice we got some in at work so naturally with 100 or 200 or something in a tank it was quite a sight.

    L333 King Tiger Pleco ?

L066 seems to be the true King Tiger Pleco and gets to about 12cm. L333 is very similar, lives in the same place and gets to 15cm. http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/sp ... ies_id=174 http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/sp ... es_id=1024 Other main differences seem to be that L066 has...

    Boraras Brigittae

Had about 15 died out over time slowly. Always hid though, think it's natural. Also Celestial Pearl Danios hide in the same tank.

    Cardinal Tetras and Aquasoil

RO water is the best route really. Aquasoil will only lower pH (I think) and it depends which one you pick.

What I am asking is how many Boraras Brigittae should I put in my small tank with my green neons?

    Nano fish

Anyway, as my Green Neon Tetras can't really go in the big tank because of the angelfish, how many boraras brigittae do you think I should put with them?
  22. L

    Nano fish

Well I was told this by Maidenhead. I don't think they are cardinals, but they aren't extremely tiny but they do look like neons. I'm not sure if I want to risk putting these with my big tank though, as I have 2 angelfish, biggest approx. 4 inches. However I still want those Rasboras, How many...

    Nano fish

Sorry to bump but I went to maidenhead yesterday and they had absolutely loads of them! Annoyed me, since they wouldn't get them in like a year ago, but I figured I can move my green neons to my bigger aquarium (apparently these are actually cardinals and they just sell the small ones as green...

    Gourami problems

Any Gourami I've ever had was the same. - I'm talking about Dwarves and Honies here. Except my Pearl Gourami who I've had for absolutely ages. She's lovely and extremely hardy (survived the food overload incident).

    Timid Rummynoses

When my 8 Green Neons know there is people around they also hide behind my big bogwood centrepiece. But when they don't know I'm there (like now) they come out and chase each other around and generally act more like they should. Don't know why personally :/.

    Nano fish

Well I want to Maidenhead today and they said you could not order me any because they would have to get 500. I don't really want to get green neons since I like don't like them much. The closest to ember tetras I can find are Red Phantoms. Also with Chili Rasbora I thought they got to 3.5cm...

Ok then: 10 Boraras brigittae 6 Ottos How many Cherry Shrimps should I start off with? PS. I'm hoping to get a HOB filter, can easily get a 10x turnover probably. I was looking at the Eheim Liberty 2040.

Hello I need some ideas on nano fish to go with Otos and Cherry Shrimp in a 10g long (50cm long). This is going to be an all-moss tank. I have a few ideas: Neon Tetras - Small and not kept for more than a few days before since they always die. Hopefully maybe this time they'll survive. Boraras...

fish to suit planted tank with hard water

My Rams are fine in like, I can't really remember... I haven't had them too long but I think it's when you first get them the problem is. 7GH, I suppose it isn't that high though. I've heard of other people keeping them in hard water though/
