There are an existing group of black phantoms and black widow tetra in there just now, i just wanted to relocate these lampeyes into that tank while removing the livebreeders and a monstrous red tailed shark.

I'm just repeating more what I read about them and oto's rather then speaking from experience. Tbh i'd always choose oto's over bristlenose plec's anyday. love oto's. what do you think is the optimal small group size for tigers to keep them looking inwards?

Hi, I'm wanting to suggest a clean up crew for a tank with a bunch of tiger barbs but i understand they are not safe to keep with Amano's and Otos.... does anyone have any experience of this? Is a bristlenose plec or two the next best alternative? Cheers in advance, John

it's not the threat it's aesthetics. at 2.5 inches they could be the biggest thing in the tank. I'd prefer my clean up crew to be more discrete. 8)

two inch's is bigger then any oto i've ever kept before.... I don't think i've ever had one max out at more then 2 inches.... and even he was "the big oto in the tank". perhaps the suppliers i've used have only given me smaller varieties before.... but i can't say i've only bought from one...

Currently i'm thinking i'll add a couple of modular baskets to the existing 160 as all reports i've read is they don't loose much flow. This would give the extra media volume of the largest of the range but only cost £20.

Oddly my pair were more social able in a mixed community tank with slow movers and a couple of old cherries. It's just now they have a large school of lampeyes in a new tank they are very shy.

I love my Nertite snails. They won't cause a population problem as they only breed in brackish. Not overly bothered about the look, a few tiny white dots on the leaves. Was kinda hoping for baby oto's thou.... :) Thanks for the prompt answers guys. Best Regards, John

Rumminose My micro rasbora are also great, never leave the surface area and are very active.

i'd very much recommend pygmy cories (pygmaeus) they are packed with character and lovely in small groups. I've got 10 in my corner tank.
