excellent transformation from the first planting to the final shot. really enjoyed that.
did you scrub the rocks at all when you added the twinstar? the use of easy carbo once a week i wouldn't put the cleaning down too. it is only really active for 24 hours as far as i knew.... if this is...
Re: Tom's Bucket O' Mud - Stumpy
You tried Trimar in cornwall?
I did my first mail order with them the other month and all fish arrived next day, intact and excellently priced.
£13 postage means you just need to order a fair amount of things at once.
Show's you how bad its got around...
I, for one, never want you to complete this scape! 8)
This journal is brilliant for seeing how plants grow out and develop. As ever with your writings, very educational. But in this case beautiful as well.
Best Regards,
John
Re: Stu's 90x45x45 Dragon Stone Scape
Looking awesome. You have just beaten me to posting a dragon stone + wood scape. I've got all the bits sitting in front of me and the redmoor soaked. If mine turns out 10% as nice as this ill be happy. :)
Re: Tom's Bucket O' Mud - RO advice needed please
i love it when you talk science at me. :D
overall thou. I've never had my ph readings that high in Edinburgh. Although i've not tested in the last couple of years.....
Am I to presume the water board in Tom's area are using Sodium...
Re: Tom's Bucket O' Mud - RO advice needed please
Hi Tom,
Just wanted to check. Are these readings for your tap water in Edinburgh? I'm stunned you have ph 8 ish in a city renown for soft water. I've never had it above 7.2 in any flat i've had.
Best Regards,
John
Just wanted to say thanks for this journal Tom. Very informative from many angles of plant care and general maintenance not often covered by other posters.
Best Regards,
John
Re: GA in-store display 120P Iwagumi
I can't believe you just made me want a pair of scissors so much. I've resorted to using small kids ones for my corner tank because the angle is so awkward for the longer aquarium scissors i have.
Looking ace.
Re: GA in-store display 120P Iwagumi
re : trimming -
I think you find it easier to trim the iwagumi then the jungle setup i have. Takes me ages to try and get all the loose HC from all the moss and stems. I look forward to your video on your technique.
Re: GA in-store display 120P Iwagumi
It looks amazing.
I've fallen in love with HC again after getting it going in my corner tank for the first time. Even under lower lighting and on innert sand it just keeps growing. I trim mine once a month and give it a really hard cut back but no issues...
Re: Untitled Yet 300L optiwhite (Trimmed)
yup, mind has insane growth. once mature and liking the water conditions it can double in size every couple of weeks.
