I'm actually thinking if the first one is turned down a bit the second one would allow finer adjustment due to the reduced effective working pressure of the second needle valve. Thus solving the issue of my two reducers when I cannot change the working pressure.

It's not faulty, they just don't give a fine enough adjustment. Both regs.

Totally, I went that way also. Watch out for stuff in line to your filter reducing the overall flow rates. I ran a hydor heater and a CO2 reactor in line with my fluval 405 on my corner tank for 6 months before realising I'd reduced the flow to 25% of the listed about. My new setup is running...

mine was fine for 2 weeks without CO2 but i only run medium light so nothing drastic went wrong. although i did use easy carbo i stopped when i killed 15 large shrimp, about 50 small and 2 rummienose. :cry:

Hi, Just a report on the First Stop Aquatics kit. Works fine, no leaks, the solenoid does feel very hot but its not exploded yet. :) Beyond that my fear about the use on a nano at 1 bubble per 5 seconds was justified as it was a real bitch to fine tune. Took about an hour of tiny adjustments...

With my setup would the large drop in ph I use (7.2 to 6.3) be thereby beneficial to keeping the co2 constant. I.e. the ph controller only comes on and oscillates between a range of 0.5 or approx 7% of the total initial adjustment during the day. So even with the lag or lack of direct parity...

p.s The range the CO2 comes on when it hits the targetted ph, then stays on until the ph has dropped another 0.5 of a point, so by setting your bubble rate correctly you can just maintain a constant flow most of the time.
