    Affordable but good quality tanks

Valid point :) In the end i'm looking at 10+ tanks so with the extra leds and kit this is going to be pricey. If the differnce between the upper end and lower end but basically the same opti white, ada style is 100's per tank i'm going to go with the cheapest :)

    Affordable but good quality tanks

Hiya, What are the latest opinions of affordable tanks of good quality silicon work, braceless, optiwhite etc? Preferably the ADA clones that are popping up from all the different manufacturers. I've got a fair number of new scapes planned and am looking to balance off the shelf 60cm & 90cm...

    Glass Lids

So... Glass lids, what thickness have people leaned to in the past. My last couple of DIY ones were 6mm laminated safety glass, mainly because the ex had a cat that kept jumping on it and i wanted to make sure she wouldnt go through. I think i could go thinner without the lamination. The...

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

Just to say i bought the last two of these tanks from the only Edinburgh store id found stocking them and they confirmed they had completely been discontinued. :( £24 each for a 30cm opti cube thou. 8)

    Best off the shelf nano

The relaunch was a cheaper version without the light. The issue with the light is due to the clips not meeting EU standards for electrical equiptment over water i think.

    Best off the shelf nano

I'd deffo get the P@H cube, the 30L one. It's high clarify glass at an amazing price. Use the corner filter from your Dennerle if you don't want to spend big. I love those little corner internals filters. Quiet yet powerful. If you want to go external then a eheim 2213 works well. The money...

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

They are a ton better then the arc pods (of which i have three rotting in the basement), excellent bulb colour and light distribution. I've not had the P@H one out of the box yet to work out if ill need it. So i'll say no for now. :)

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

It will be rated slash proof and water proof for a short amount of time. Just not "made for submersion" in the IP rating scale. I was in the edinburgh straiton P@H yesterday and they were not restocked. Although the price tags are still on the shelf and they have the assessor y sets there...

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

i'd say you could easily get the filter swapped for a newer (hopefully fixed) model as this would be covered by your consumer rights. the official line of recall of product for repackage looks also to be correct by the new "styled" packaging of the accessory packs. frankly P@H and cooper...

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

went in today and they are out in the big store in edinburgh. recalled. the staff did not have a clue when they would be back. when i mentioned the dodgy filters they were initially clueless but then one of the staff vaguely remembered something on an email. they are doing a repackage thou...

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

PFK subs offer is for a voucher or something allowing you to collect the tank and kit from a P@H store near you so it will be the newest stock they have in or still have. I imagine from earlier posts they will have restocked or will be restocking with the fixed units.

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

I plan on getting my local glazer to cut two corners off the lid for the inflow and outflow of my eheim. I might need to source some new straight lid holders thou. I think TGM stock them.

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

very true. i am still going to buy more while they are in the shop however as the tank is such a bargain for the glass alone. I will however mention the filter to the staff even thou this will potentially speed up the removal of this excellent value product from P@H, you can't ignore the welfare...

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

:) Didn't turn up much but I did find the factory that makes the PFK sub's tanks. I was in a local fish shop today when the fluval rep came in and the owner and the fluval rep tried to get my opinions about their new "Dennerle" clone nano. I just had to mention the Pets @ Home cube for the...

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

Boo, Cooper-international (coopets parent company) say they can only sell through Pets at Home and won't supply tanks by themselves. So....next thing is to find the manufacturer in China. :)

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

nice :) I wish i could get these tanks without the extra stuff. I would love to replace my Dennerle and my arc tank with them. I'm going to phone the manufacturer and ask.

    P@H/Coopet Nano cube

Man that does look good. I didn't have time to open the box in Pets at Home this morning. The glass continues to interest me. The other thread mentioned it was listed as Ultra Glass which is comparable to Sapphire glass. Is the same thing as Opti-white? They are both Iron free.....

    Nano Heater?

Hi, I use a newattio plus 10watt on my shrimp tanks sometimes BUT i find with the lights it actually tends to go from 25 up to 29 degrees during the day. Which wasnt good for my cherries. Since i took it off the tank they are actually breeding like bunnies since it stays below 25 all the...

DIY Project DIY Reactor - pictures, assembly and testing

Hi, I'm totally excited now. Glad it works so well as i deffo can't fit the 65 mm one in my cabinet. I've got my 405 on the tank just now and the fish are getting a touch blasted so am eagerly awaiting one of these babies to go with the hydor 300 to reduce the flow somewhat. Keep up the...

im kinda interested in the whole thing. but ive yet to get my larger fluval 405 filter and work out what/how to replace the ribbed fluval hosing to do more diy stuff with it. to be honest buying a complete one from you will save me alot of effort and trial and error. :D

Improving my Venezia 190 - Filter, Inline CO2 & heater, Spra

If i can avoid using the powerhead by putting in a bigger filter i want to do that. less kit in the tank the better. Improving my Venezia 190 - Filter, Inline CO2 & heater, Spra

Hi, I do actually have a Maxi-Jet PH (MP 900) rated to 920 lph kicking around from when i was lining up to do a hill stream tank but never got around to the plumbing. It does have the flow deflector to dissapate the stream somewhat. I might toy with sticking that in to improve circulation...

Improving my Venezia 190 - Filter, Inline CO2 & heater, Spra

Hi, This Venezia 190 corner tank was my first big tank and real go at the heavily planted aquarium. I've been tweaking things over the last couple of years to get ever better growth out of my plants. I've added a bit more lighting and reflectors, pressurised co2 and eco-complete. Now in the...
