The warmer the water the less O2 it can hold I think, so this is most likely a contributing factor

I think the OP is referring to the fact that ember tetras are quite a bit smaller than harlequins / rummynose / cardinals etc

I very much doubt there will be problems, as long as you acclimatise them to the new tank the same way you would a new fish. Catching them first is the interesting part though! :wink:

Use 2 nets, one in each hand, herd them into one with the other take your time, do it slowly usually works for me

A pair of rams and a pair of apisto should get along fine in a 200L, as long as there are plenty of caves/rocks/breaks in the territory, 2 pairs of rams should be ok too

What is the current scientific name for these tetra? Is it Hemigrammus bleheri or Hemigrammus rhodostomus? Have they been reclassified, or are these 2 completely different species?
