Yeah, my diffuser is low... just a little thrown off when I read it in the ADA book.

Its interesting most people seem to place their diffusers quite low. ADA recommend placing the diffuser at mid point - a pic in the 2006 book shows it to be above the half way point :?

Brilliant article, and a drop checker is added to my shopping list. However, I'm a little confused on the relationship between CO2, kH and pH. You say lower kH will result in a greater drop of the pH when adding 30ppm of CO2, yet the page you linked to states that is a myth. That page also...

Aquatic Magic in Malaysia are open to offers on the regulator/solenoid sets. I paid £60 + £35 delivery for two kits, saving £25 odd. I also had discount on other items bought from them, including plants and a diffuser, so its well worth sending them an email beforehand.
