I like both scapes very much however the second is very nice in my opinion. Different, I guess it was marked down for not having many plants in it but it looks great.
Nice videos there George. Can't help but notice how HD your vids are. What video editing software did you use?
I have Sony Vegas 10 but have to try and learn it sometime. lol Windows Movie Maker doesn't really cut the mustard does it

to add to what Hydrophyte says the thing that really interests me with Ripariums is that they are a little like Lego/Meccano in that in theory you could move the 'components' about very easily and get several 'scapes' photographed in a single day :)
With underwater scapes or paludriums its not...
Espei are great for shoaling. I point at them adn they form the group, then I press the button on the camera on 3sec delay and then move my finger away. They then shoal along the front :)
Will put a pic up when I get a good one :)
I like the scape George, well executed and as alway good...
Thought I would post some pictures of my main tank since I got it (This was my first ever aquarium and was bought in October 2006) It is a 33USG tall old Fluval duo deep
October 2006 - Shortly after setting it up
January 2007 - Moved onto planted
May 2007
September 2007 - rescaped (new...
I totally agree with the above Mike. Many who first come onto an aquascaping site come on fresh and can't do the growing/healthy bit yet so you have a head start here ;)
Looks lush and as Dave says. The growing part out of the way you can set about planning a structure for your scape and make...
Looks really cool from that angle. Nice contrast between the light and dark greens there. I always struggle making light greens fit into the look and end up ripping them out. lol
Keep up the updates

So her is my 800ml Umigumi Pico tank which I've called ‘Rosco P.Cotank’ <----You see what I've done there ;)
here are the specs:
‘Tank’ - 16cm long, 9½cm Deep and 11cm High. The volume works out to 1.67 Litres apparently but I filled it with 800ml
after putting the substrate...
For anyone who is interested then the little 'tank' I am using measures:
L - 16cm
D - 9.5cm
H - 11cm
Fills to approx 700ml (ish)
You know those mini shredders you get with the winder handles? This is the 'box' that goes underneath the 'shredder'

Re: Six years of 'scaping
Mother Microsorum was the first scape I ever saw that made me say 'I want one of those'. I had seen planted tanks before but they all looked so 'busy' and elaborate. Then I saw this nice clean, simple and lush scape and thought 'That guy understands that you don't...
The page opened and just the top of the first pic appeared. Just saw the first inch or so and thought to myself with a wry smile ' At last he's taken a photo that is in worse focus than mine are' and then I scrolled down and thought 'blast, perfect again' ;)
Looks nice. I agree with the...
I can't add to the blyxia solution as mine were light green to bronze from start ot present. This is with JamesCs lean dosing and 20-25ppm CO2, then TPN+ with 30ppm back to how I have it at the mo. All the time under 0.9WPG T5HO so no help from me as usual. lol
Nice scape George, not going to...
Always jealous of how lush your tanks look Jimboo.
Cheesy restaurant music wasn't so good though.
Guess you could say the salideshow was a case of beauty before the beast at the end (I mean beast in a positive way of course. lol)
Keep up the scaping matey you do us proud.
Andy
Do you always get dressed up to plant and prune Jimboo?
Nice progression by the way. Hope my forthcoming 'second' scape moves onward like yours seem to have.
Andy
Still in love with your C Balansae George.
Mine is only just now starting to grow tall (after 3 months in the tank) but it does look nice, Just jealous of the amount of leaves yours has and how lush it is growing.
Any spare
