Hi, I spoke with the Abyss Aquatic Warehouse this morning and there's provisional plans to organise a big event this summer - my intention is to help with some aquascaping activities. Stay tuned to their Facebook page for details!

Great to see you guys there! I had a lot of fun and Antoni was a legend. :) That's a shame. Agreed, at first sight the place isn't so tidy but the fish health and choice is excellent, as is the staff's knowledge and attitude. I choose these over anything else when visiting a shop.

I agree about the 107th ranking scape. Should be top 10 IMHO. If it made the top 100 short list so the international judging panel actually got to see it, I have no doubt it would have reached top 10. I might create a top-down view layout next year. Call it "bird's eye view". :)

Some of the rankings do confuse me, but I always enjoy this contest. I like having a goal - a deadline and endgame. Many of my aquascapes are published in magazines, even books, but there is something that I find especially exciting about contests. It's probably just my competitive streak...

Oh, I've been bowing to those guys for ages already. In all seriousness it's great to see the standard of UK aquascaping improving and indeed reflected by great results like these. :)
