My first ever aquarium had 100% non-aquatic plants in it - all house plants sold as aquarium plants in my local garden centre outlet. I'm thankful in a way. Because it made me look into how to grow plants properly. Then I discovered Amano, Barr and co. That was only 10 years ago.

I've recently (over the last 7 months) got into running and generally keeping fit with lots of body weight resistance training (press-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups etc). My 10km PB is 42 minutes and 5km 19 minutes. I'm currently training for this bad boy - Dirty Weekend Anyone else fancy it?!

I am certain you will love reef. Very different methodology but I do think that folk that come from a FW aquascaping background have a huge headstart. 90% of reef aquariums I see are frankly horrific from an aesthetic perspective.

My wife has the cheek to complain about the cost and time spent on it - and she keeps a flippin' horse. :crazy: She likes fancy goldfish and gawdy-coloured tropicals. I like Nature Aquariums, biotopes and brown fish. I suppose they do say opposites attract.

Thanks mate but the hard drive is no way near full - 333GB remaining in a 500GB drive (shoot jpeg and no videos!) I don't think you can defrag either, as OS X manages the files with every update. I will look into this more.

The sad fact is that the majority perceive goldfish (and other species) purely as floating ornaments. To change this perception through appropriate education is the key to success, I feel.

Goldfish and their stocking is often a cause for heated debate, but please bear in mind the UKAPS Rules and Guidelines when posting comments. They are posted at the top of every forum.
