Yes mate. The trimmings aren't substantial to tie on to wood the usual way, but I'm guessing you're going to blend them, in which case the small off-cuts will be perfect. I'll be in touch. :)

Hmm. With the needle valve fully open I don't think you'd be able to stop the gas with your finger over the end of the open CO2 hose. Have you used the reg before with different diffuser?

It shouldn't matter which way around. Do you have a bubble counter? What BPS are you running? Try opening up your needle valve more.

What's your working pressure and bubble rate? Maybe there's not enough pressure to penetrate the ceramics? They also take a while to fill with gas before you start to see the mist. How long have you given it?

I think most de-chlorinators claim to neutralise heavy metals. How effective they are; I have no idea!

Something else to consider is the potential costing of a taller vs. shallower tank. A 45cm may need to have 10mm glass if you're braceless. 30cm would be 8 or 6mm, so less expensive.

60x45x30H cm for me but it depends on your own goals and tastes. Garuf has a 60x45x45cm I think. I'm sure he'll chime in at some point and give you his opinion.

Very nice! The combination of the ADA style with the hood works very well. I actually prefer hoods these days from a practicle perspective as I'm too lazy for constant top-ups and they're ideal if you have jumpy fish. Thanks for sharing.

I'm considering removing my Rio 125's centre brace and hood. I know it's there for strength etc. but I've seen glass with the same thickness being used on larger tanks, without a brace. Also I won't be using as much water. Has anyone else done this successfully with a Juwel? Thoughts welcome.
