That looks great mate... A fantastic achievement from just one pot and the time taken to cover. I'm looking forward to seeing the new light too, they sound the business from what I've read.
I too am very tempted to go for a Twinstar.... I keep telling myself no... But Santa's voice in my head...
Sorry George, I was browsing on my iPad and it had not loaded the video box up! Time for a new iPad I think ;) mind you I'm sure it's grown a bit more since the video ;)
Its looking great mate, filling in very nicely.
How's this pot covering then George, any updated pics to see if some of the bets change ;) I think it will be spreading like mad now it's adjusted to its home!
It looks the business mate and good to see that the SAE have worked their magic for you... but sorry to hear of the memory card problem! I think I would of done a bit more than swear though. Your extra work has paid off.... Those photos are stunning! And the red eyes suit it well. I'm now...
Its good to hear that you have this about back under control George and that the SAE have done their work, they are great little workers! its a shame this is only a trade show as there are some big names their and not that far from me either :banghead: I'm sure come show day though that this...
It looks fantastic George and more great photos :) the one of the moss from above is stunnning and looks an interesting plant, I'd be very gratefull if I could have a tiny amount of Riccardia to try when you do a trim ;)
Cheers for the tips George... I only have some budget ones from HK at the moment, but still treating them like ADA ones lol - I would like some gUSH ones eventually, but I'll see how I go with these.... even though they are cheep ones id still not let Ian clean them though ;) well not...
Its looking great George and the shrimp photos are brilliant:thumbup:
I see on your first photo of the tank you have the glassware removed, how do you remove your pipework... do you heat the tubing up? I ask as I'm new to using glassware and don't want to break mine when I come to clean...
George, now that looks great! I can't believe it's only a day old, it looks really established already, I know your wood is from before... But the way you have added it to the new is brilliant! I'd be proud to have that in my room.
Very nice indeed James, the sense of scale is superb! The fish look fantastic too and compliment it very nicely. Big congratulations in your place in IAPLC as well... Really well done :)
wow! thanks for all the nice comments guys... it means allot to me.
To be honest I am very over whelmed buy what I have just read some really nice things said and some very valid points too.
I will write more later, but just on a quick break at work... but felt I had to say something quick...
Thanks for kind words Rick
Yes I will be, I was going to have a change, but I have one final scape to achieve in the Trigon that I have in mind.... then I will move onto a new brand of tank.
Thanks again Ian for your Kind words, that means allot.
Thanks Ady, I will still be on...
This scape was taken down this weekend, I'd just like to thank the few members on here that put a comment on my journal and have enjoyed what I achieved in a a Juwel Trigon ... It means allot to me.
I will be working on something else, but unfortunately there will be no journal this time from...
Thank you so much for your kind comments - the moss I used was Spiky Moss from Aqua Essentials... Which to be honest grew like mad! I found it very easy to care for and would definitely use it again.
Thanks Alastair, yes I think the centre pieces of wood draw you into the scape more.
Cheers Ian, yes the moss has gone bonkers! I have never had much luck with growing moss on wood before so I am really pleased with this.... mind you I think its due a trim soon.
A few updated photos - I decided to rip out the E.tenellus as I felt it was spoiling the front of the scape... so out it came! I re-planted a few stems at the front and moved a few pieces of wood too.... I think it looks cleaner and sharper.

I took a few photos today, so thought I'd just show how its doing - the plants are filling in nicely and the moss has gone bonkers! it all seems to be ticking along nicely considering I'm only spending about an hour a week on it now at water change time.
I am getting an itch to do a re-scape...
Cheers Steve
Thanks, it is Redmoor wood im using... a few of the sponsors on here stock it, I had these pieces from Aqua Essentials

A few updated photos as promised earlier - the tank is running well, I am on an 8hr light duration with around 3BPS co2 and my EI dosing with a 50% weekly water change.
The E.tenellus has only been in around 10 days, due to a slight delay with an order, but is already starting to really take...
Hi Jim, funny you should mention updates, I took a few photos yesterday so I will get them uploaded later :)
Do you mean reflections with the camera on the front?
Cheers Alastair :) I should be getting my 1-2- grow tenellus next week so that will be in and with the HC that's already in I should get a decent coverage going! that's the plan anyway, all being well.
Thank you for your nice comments
Ha ha, yes I was tempted to keep the blue drum, I just need the blue pipes to match on the filter :)
Thanks for your great comments though Ady - You are totally correct on the grass being lilaeopsis NZ, so very well spotted - I do have some tenellus...
Yes, I'm running at about 1 BPS, fairly low really for this size tank, but I have found that the praecox rainbows are not that keen on higher co2 levels - the amount of co2 going in and the EI dosing seem to be keeping things ok so far.
Well, I thought that I best start my new journal Nature's Corner 'naturalis' - this was first started about 2 weeks ago now and the first photo shows how the set-up stands as today, followed by photos from the very beginning.
The tank is my original 'Trigon 190' from my last scape, with the G6...
Looking great George! it looks much more mature than it is and the new fish addition are a good choice too - do you intend on letting the moss on the wood really grow or are you planning on keeping it short and close knit?
Also, and I hope you do not mind me asking you this question on your...
Superb mate! One of most favourites on here... And most ever in fact - The eBay purchase at the side looks the Business too, what are they like... Worth the money? And easy to work on?
This looks superb mate, even overgrown as it was your trim back has transformed it - I always think its a huge skill to be able to take that much trimming back and make it look as good as ever!
PS, perhaps you were a barber in your previous life? ;)
wow! Those shots of the moss are fab! Very nice indeed - the FTS that I missed that you have posted look stunning to mate, my favourite scape you have done so far and a great journal :)
Lovely photos, and it looks great! The tank looks like a cube of nature with the water full to the brim.... The green neons would of looked nice, but the embers look fantastic! and like mark says, it looks so natural - when the mosses fill out its going to be a show stopper :)
Great pics, it's nice to see that a professional Aquascaper still gets a bit of algae lol - mind you those shrimps will have a great start in their new home and will have that under control in no time :)
Yes I would of thought the purigen would of found its way out of the slots in the cartridge - I've just 2 of the pre-bagged ones in mine at the moment, can't help thinking it slows flow down a bit though, although it is showing full flow on the LCD screen.
It looks the Business George! Are you adding the shrimp today? They are going to love it :)
I really like the photo showing off the all the gubbins underneath the display and very neat too! Something we should show more of, after all, those marine boys do it all the time! ;)
I really like the new additions mate, really good photos too! The white brackets definitely look better as well, a really nice view from your chair on the FTS :)
This has been a great learning curve for me and I'm sure many others too - I'm really glad you did this dry start George, it's been a great journal and read so far with great photos too, it really does look superb!... But I am looking forward to seeing some fish in it now enjoying a great new...
This is looking great and a very interesting read, for me this is a very new way of growing moss... Interesting stuff and I will be watching with great interested in the results, which I'm sure will be a success.
Why the Greek yogurt though? What's wrong with a good old fashioned Ski yogurt or...
Very nice mate, a quality product! I have to say you did not mess about getting it set up! Did Amano deliver it and give you a hand?!
From the photo you have put up it looks very nice indeed and I'll be looking forward to seeing more - you will be setting me off on wanting to change mine again ;)
That's really nice mate, it looks so crisp, yet natural... The plants that you have mentioned as well would work brilliantly too - I definitely think that the wood suits that rock work. The rocks were good alone, but now with the wood they compliment each other very nicely.
Love it George!!! do you have any plants in mind for this yet? The layout looks so natural already, definitely going to be a show stopper!
I'm probably 3steps ahead but have you decided what sort of co2 diffuser you will be using on this size tank?
I've been looking forward to you starting up again George, and now here we are - it seems along time since we have seen you in action on here :( ... I will be watching out for what you are going to create and looking forward to seeing some photos.
I'm sure will be a show stopper! :)
Re: Stu's 90x45x45 Apalala Shore - IAPLC 2012 #114 - AGA 201
Nice one mate  .... all official now! - if I had one of those it would be framed and on my office wall
Mark those fish look horrid! They just don't suit your tank... I think you need to whip them out and give them to me  only joking.... they look absolutely fab! They look great against your plants and I've not seen these fish before to be honest - really nice
Re: 120 x 55 x 55cm planted... @ 2 weeks
Yes I would think so, although I have never had any myself.... they should complement each other nicely though - it looks like mark has the males on his pics... they have the red band on their fin, where as the females have a more orange/yellow band...
Re: 120 x 55 x 55cm planted... @ 2 weeks
They are cracking fish Mark, I had 12 of them in my last setup, they never let me down, as they grow they display fantastic colour with there shine.... They will look even better when they get the adult shape and distingtive pinched nose, I might have to...
Re: 120 x 55 x 55cm planted with pics @ 5 days
It looks really nice that mate, it's going to be a cracker as it matures! What sort of stones did you use that you tied the moss on?
Re: 120 x 55 x 55cm 'On the sea shore'
Very nice that Mark, rock layout is fab! Looks great even without plants too.... I'll be watching this one
Have you ever been tempted into marine or had a go? I bet you could do a great live rock layout!
Re: Stu's 90x45x45 Dragon Stone Scape
It looks great Stu! Very well done indeed and great photos too. It has so many different aspects to it as well, I really like the arch and pathway.... I'll be watching this mature
Re: Stu's 90x45x45 Dragon Stone Scape
Come on then Stu, don't keep us all in suspenders, let's see the latest pics... I'm looking forward to seeing them as what I've seen so far look superb!
Re: Stu's 90x45x45 Dragon Stone Scape
Wow! That wood looks great with the rocks Stu, very natural looking indeed - if I were to be looking through an underwater window in the river that would be what I'd expect to see.
Re: 120 x 55 x 55 getting prepared for a quick photo shoot.
It looks outstanding Mark! a very nice photo showing its entire beauty - remarkable too considering its age - really well done
Re: 120 x 55 x 55 getting prepared for a quick photo shoot.
Looking great mate, I'm looking forward to seeing some finished photos...mind you that one you have just taken is fab!
Re: 120 x 55 x 55 the 4 week update
Looks great Mark - I like the black background, it always makes the lush green on the plants leap out! I would like to see a full tank shot now it's maturing.
