Hi @Trevor C
Purchase a selection of floating plants Amazon Frobit/Pistia stratiotes/Red Root Floaters!
These three can guide you to what could be happening in the water column regarding nutrients levels.
The plants look pale to me.....the middle image above.
There is one stem of Rotala where...
Hi
I didn't have a heater in this aquarium below till end of November!
You can, but the growth will be slower in some plants and stagnated in others, Red Root Floaters didn't appreciate the lower temperature.

Hi @sh4d0w think you have to assess the Phosphate levels?
GSA usually appears when either too much or not enough!
Pogostemon helferi is stretching for light.....this plant does better out in the open.
There is another stem with similar issues not sure of the identity....try moving them into a...
Hi Mike
You need to up the water changes to at least two per week!
Biofilm on wood is a normal outcome when submerged in water....clean it off with a old toothbrush and do a water change.
The film will disappear eventually.
Add a light and implement the below tutorial...
@Heidi L
Best for you to switch the filter off....then wait till the dust settles then remove as much water as possible without disturbing the substrate!
Clean the sides of the glass also with Kitchen/Paper towel.
You may have to do this multiple times.
Replace the water as slowly as...
Hi Narren
Change 25% of the water every few days try not to disturb the substrate!
Those balls are they root balls, if so they need to be inserted into the ADA soil and covered over.
Welcome to the UKaps!

My experience with this adorable plant is that it just loves soft soil.
Planting it in that type of soil you won't have a problem with lifting.....downside is removing it from soft soil can cause a mess.
Saying that...I think this is the normal way for Blxya to produce plantlets if space is...
The biggest tips I can give!
The plants should be moist without any excess water retained in the bag!
No wet Kitchen Towel is needed.....this adds more weight and extra postage fee.
I also blow/exhale into the bag to provide an inflated cushion helping to prevent the plants from getting damaged...
Hi
You don't need Co2 if you intend to stick to the easy and low energy plants for a while.
Learn to grow those plants healthily and then think about adding Co2 for the more demanding plants.
MD below runs 99% of his aquariums without Co2!

Hi
I personally wouldnt do a 90% water change with cold mains tapwater, plants like stability and some can tolerate temperature swings better than others!
Introduce Leech-Eating Fish
Yoyo Loach: These are active fish that love to eat leeches. They are also known to eat snails and other small aquatic pests.
Clown Loach: These fish are colorful and playful. They are also great for controlling leech populations in your tank.
Botia Loach: Also known...
Emerald green is my preference!
If your going to purchase new fish.
Switch off the Co2 the night before and leave the lights off the following day.....have some surface disturbance.
De gas the aquarium basically.
Then acclimatise the fish over a few hours.....switch on lights and observe the...
Hi LadyDay
You can also implement this Tutorial below!

hoggie
I can, Co2 drives faster growth even in slow growing plants this in turn produces more waste/crude!
If you have a heavily planted tank, the result will be there to see in a few weeks.
Cheers
Inside those bubble counters is just a spring and a rubber diaphragm....allowing Co2 through as you turn/increase the needle valve!
I would take it apart....and look to see if its fitted properly!
Immerse the check valve in a bowl of water and run the Co2!
Try do this with all the connections!
Even the bubble counter if its not attached to the regulator......you could try using two check valves....one before the diffuser and one next too the regulator!
You could always add fast growing stem plants as per tutorial below!
https://www.ukaps.org/forum/threads/using-stem-plants-as-a-filtering-aid-at-start-up.62966/

Implement this below tutorial.
Plus you will need to add fertilizers for the plants to flourish.
https://www.ukaps.org/forum/threads/using-stem-plants-as-a-filtering-aid-at-start-up.62966/
Yes!
Could be Mg or Iron as the deficiencies look similar....add some Epsom Salt and monitor for the next few days!
Aquasabi
Magnesium (Mg) plays an important role in photosynthesis, because it forms important part of the plant’s green color pigment (chlorophyll). A deficiency is often shown by...
You can always have a go with...its a tad more delicate as the stems break easily, it propagates quickly even from leaves sometime!

Hi
I would dose the Nirtogen!
If these are recently purchased emersed stem plants...sometimes you can get melt or leaf drop in a immature set-up!
Remove the stems cut away the melting parts and leave them floating on the surface for a few weeks.
Hi
A few members on here, run planted aquariums without any fish!
You will just need to do the odd water change every few weeks to freshen up the water!
The filter will do its job as normal, even with a lower bio load.
Here is mine below!

Hi
Like your Dragon Stone lay-out! 👍
2 weeks isn't long enough to see much progress with dry start method!
Remove any decaying plant matter.....you could try removing some of the MC and leaving it floating in your other aquarium to encourage transition and extra root mass, then replant when this...
Get some fast growing stem plants and use them as floating plants!!!

I would clean it off....as it could spread onto nearby plants and look unsightly!
You can use an old tooth brush or try syphoning it off.
Then do a water change.
Hi
I would lower the lighting to 50% and 6 hours!
Remove melting leaves as these will compromise water quality.
You could add floating plants....or stems to help with start up.

Hi
Looks like Cryptocoryne wendtii brown?
If it has separate plants at the base you can split, or wait until it sends out its own runners/plantlets!
hoggie
:(
Think it 71cm!
You could always paint it then varnish with a matt finish!
I used this below on the door of my cabinet as they sent me the wrong door!

Hi Pat
Co2 is not the issue.
Some crypts don't like being planted into raw immature substrate, this sometimes causes melting!
Best if you purchase or transfer some very fast-growing stem plants and plant them in the areas where you want to add the Crypts!
You could do that by leaving them until...
Looks like filamentous algae.
Be careful you don't gas the fish!
Use some of that B53 as a floating plant.

Nope!
You will have to remove the connector on the RO tubing!
Replace with the Ebay connector....take the shower head off!
Screw the new fitting into the shower hose!
You should be able to get a connector to fit the end of the shower hose I think!
What about this below...

Hi
Reduce your lighting reduce the fertilizers to about 1/4 dosing....for 4 weeks!
I've had good results with the Easy Life product below in conjuction with the above measures.
