Hi Edvert, I think I have fixed the issue. For some reason one of the apps on the page hijacked my page. By changing the template the issue disappeared ... and that app disappeared too :cigar: will have to change template on all the pages though. Just to add; I am not having any tanks anymore...

My drop checker is blue now. No additional CO2 and no algae still. Overgrown at the moment, I have to trim the plants soon.

Agreed :) This is a Hi-light Walstad method :mrgreen: Just to add; This tank has a 4cm layer of potting soil and is dosed 2 times a week with Tropica+ Note!!! During the GW I only disconnected the CO2 not the NPK/traces. I still dosed Tropica+ once a week.

The root problem is the insufficient Eheim pump which circulates 250 gph (approx 950 lph) :) Your tank is 250 litres and should circulate at least 1500 lph or more (I vote for more ;-) ) I had that problem in several tanks and each time I have had weak pumps and very little or none surface...

IME algae issues were always connected to insufficient water circulation (poor nutrient/O2/CO2 transport). As soon I upgrade to a stronger pump or simply toss in another spare pump to help the existing pump algae seem to stay at bay and plants start growing better. My tanks get good CO2 and/or...
