Hi
Test kits are not like on here due their inaccuracy - I am not saying they are no good as they do give you indication of water perameters - dont treat the result as gospal as every test that you carry out (back to back tests) will give you a different reading.

Let it cycle with spikes before planting and adding any fish - that what I was advised to do and thats what I am going to do - the old fashion way.

When you refer to cloudy water within the above sentance / night fog within the subject are you refering to milky water (night fog) or cloudy water through dirt particals within the water column. As Chris states / requested - we need some tanks stats ie. size of tank, filter, quantity of...

I didn't know that you were adding Co2 as well - very light shimmer or ripple of the surface water or you will expel you co2 gas. Thx for the comments regarding my tank.
Regards
Paul.
Not at all, the Chlorine added to drink water is a gas and if the water is allowed to stand for a 24 hrs period the gas will be expelled. There are a few peolpe on here that do not add any dechlorinator during their water change. So you are ok with what you wont to do, but I would disturb the...

Thx Andy
One of my tank has "X" perameters and my other tank as "B" parameters - totally the oposite to what I expected to see when i tested "YES TESTED" the water.
Once again thx Andy.
Gang@Ukpas
For Example:-
2 tanks of different volumes.
Both are planted
Both are Co2 injected
Both have fish (different quantities due to size).
Both have the same ferts being added
Different filters - but have the same media
Different flow rates
Would expect to find different water...

What the difference between ppm and mg/l.
I measured mine 2 weeks ago and the reading was 5.0mg/l and you hear rumors that a high level of Po4 assist the algae spores to grow - any truth in this statement.
Regards
paul.
Thats over 2.5 gallons per week - I would say that there is a leak somewhere :!: :!:, if you are concerned regarding the amount of fluid loss, buy some clear perspex and cut it to suit your top and place in position - that should reduce some evaporation.

Paul.
