is that moler clay you are using, what size did u use. I got the larger Coarse Grade 6-10mm particle size, but my plants just dont wanna stay put. re-planting them is becoming annoying. do you think the finer stuff would hold the plants better.

Another Small Update : Took Delivery of my 44 litres of molar clay today :crazy: Started to rinse it and boy is this stuff dusty, after 7 rinses on each half a bucket, the water still aint perfectly clear. The colour of the water on the first rinse, is dark as a strong cup of hot chocolate...

Thats a real nice tank, seeing all these tanks is making me see how much I got to learn.

That looks real nice and modern as mentioned above. I would love an open tank, but with 2 dogs I could see all the fish getting furball. Is it a real problem as always wondered how much dog hair and dust floats on the surface?

Thank you, im hoping it turns out ok. small update : ordered 44 litres of molar clay today, 30 lites of bigger stuff and 14 litres of fine. Now just got to get the shingle and me substrates are sorted.

The main reason im doing it the other way, is that the tanks right hand side is in the corner and the left hand side is nexto to a door and from where we sit in the room I thought it would give us a better view of it. hopefully it will look ok and not too out of sync :eh:
