Just spent the last hour or so looking through this journal Ian and it was really inspiring! It has given me some ideas as to my next set up, so I wanted to ask a question or 2 first. Why did you go for the 30cm depth instead of the 45cm? I'm thinking better Co2 distribution?
Loving the established moss, hope mine turns out as good as yours ! Really well done :)
I would be worried about it uprooting plants as it looks too bulky to be able to swim through the plants, bit like a pleco would.
Looking superb as always, it's great to have the 'tried and tested' hardscape handy when starting a new scape. Still takes a keen eye to create with it though. Well done :)
Looking really well, but I was wondering aswell about the yogurt/moss mixture and how you avoid bacteria growth and what occurs when it is eventually flooded?
Given me some ideas for starting my new scape with mosses, was unsure about applying extra heat to an emersed set up, but with room temp and heat from the light it should be ok. Hope the heat mat works out for u George.
Hi George, finally get to see a master at work from the start ;) Only joined recently so haven't had the chance to see one from the start in real time. Spent many an evening into the wee hours reading the journals etc so this will be fun and very informative I'm sure.
