I had two assassin snails (started out as one, but the other randomly appeared) in my low tech community tank. They cleared out the pest snails (and possibly all my shrimp) and then that appeared to starve to death...

I would say start with 6-8 ottos, probably the same with the amanos but I don't know why you would need assassin snails? Do you have a problem with pest snails? I'm not to sure about if you can/should put them in all at once. I would probably separate them by about a week?

Surely it would depend on your experience of fish keeping and how mature/stable your tank is? I like to look of the Zebras too and would be very tempted if I saw them in my LFS.

Hi all, I really like Red Phantoms an would love to put them in my 240l with my 4 Angelfish, but I've been told that they are not the best fish for planted aquarium. Will they shred all the plants? Thanks in advance!
