I had a couple of the smaller Superfish Home 25 tanks and they are really nice. A couple of things I would point out is that the silicone was quite bulky so won't give as clean a look as the Dennerle.
My other bugbear is that as the light is in the hood when you lift it up to perform...
I doubt most fish would care too much about the height.
You have to look at it. What do you prefer?
Perhaps cut out some card in the two sizes and put it in place and see which you prefer?
I would say that from a general set-up/'scaping point of view then the 40cm height will probably be...
From experience I would advise that if you want to do it right then do it right from the start. Do not compromise as it will probabnle cost more in the long run.
I used to have 2 Juwel tanks and I think they are great tanks but I feel they have their limitations. This is not to say you cannot...
I think it is simply that the standard way to silicone is much easier and less time consuming. Plus if it goes wrong it's fairly easy to put right.
With the clean look of the ADA/TMC tanks the silicone has to be perfect as any silicone sticking out from the edges and into view will be really...
My tanks are from ND Aquatics and I am very happy with them. Sure the silicone is not ADA / TMC standard but it is very neat. You can hopefully see it in my journal. (Better shots on page 2).

I use these 10mm clips for my tanks - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171188492104
I had some 4mm Polycarbonate cut to fit my 600mm x 300mm and it does bow in the middle. Another set of clips in the middle would sort this out though.
Given that there has to be room to get the filter tubes into the tank I would say there is enough room for the TMC supports.
The following review also advises that gap is big enough for fish to get through so again I would say you can be pretty sure there is room...
Personally, having had various tanks over the last couple of years, I would go for the braceless option now if you have the choice. You may not need it to be braceless now but you may thank yourself later down the line.
I recently order a braceless tank from ND to the same spec of an ADA 60P (60 x 30 x 36cm) with the front panel in Opti-White. They quoted me for 10mm glass all round and it was £76 + delivery.
I was just browsing The Green Machine when I came across this:

Why get a regular 60-P when you can get this! Anyone gonna get one?
I have 5 Superfish 50w heaters and they have all done a sterling job for me. Not as cheap as what Alastair has advised but at £15 from MA they are not gonna break the bank.
