Yeah its a TMC 400 tile, mine is on a mountaray bracket so cant adjust the height. I will just have a play with the levels see how I get on. Plants are growing really well other than the crypts.

I would have to remove all the plants leaving nothing! Have reduced my lighting from 7.5 hours to 6.5 hours and set the max brightness to 80% as I have a controller on there atm.

OK few more pics now I can see them :D My crypt parva isnt doing well and now covered in algae :( not sure what I can do to save it.

Does anyone use a pump to do water changes? Got my RO water in a 25 litre jerry can and was thinking it would be much easier to pump it back into the tank through some airline or hose than using a bucket and jug. If so what pump do people use?

Have now added Anubias Petite to the wood and Crpyt Parva to the front. Still have 1-2-Grow Eleocharis sp. 'mini' to add to the side.

Removed a couple of the bigger Sagittaria sabulata from the front. Hopefully get some Crypt Parva in there if they grow well in my CRS tank.

Cheaper version, cheaper thinner more fragile glass. I have the real thing and its lovely. I had mine in my tank on the side with some ammania in which lasted a while but then snails had their way with it. No heater it's 21, no filter the plants do this. I feed now and then but they all feed off the biofilm. Both species happily living.

Latest update pic, now have some cherry shrimp in and some simoni shrimp. Cherry babies appeared yesterday :D 4 counted so far. Star plant has got leggy so think the light isnt bright enough. Thinking about changing that, maybe try crypts again as they all melted in the beginning. Baby shrimp

1-2-Grow! plants are amazing quality and I didnt have time to plant them the day they arrived so they sat in their tubs happily for 3 days to.

Internal filter removed and replaced with a Fluval 204 external I have had for a few years. gUsh glass inlet and outlet added! Just need to get a background plant in there and do some trimming especially the HC in the pod!

I am lucky in my dad has my old 120L tank and his are breeding like mad so I can top my population up if needs be. I have a good amount of juvenile ones at the mo so I am hoping they will be the ones that breed and build the colony as they have only ever known my water.

You still getting deaths Mike? I am getting random cherry deaths in my Ebi. Had 1 lot of babies appear but last few weeks I have had adults randomly dieing off like you describe.

Go for the welding CO2 setup! I just switched from my Fluval 88 on my 30l tank as it was using a cannister every 3 weeks! Costing £13 a time! Welding CO2 bottle is £15 and last me at least 8 months I would guess.

Love the tank, nice size. I want to change the filter (to external with glass on) and it doesnt come with a heater. Yes its the Fluval substrate, plenty of opinions on it but I have had no issues and my cherries have bred at least once.

Needle valves sits directly on top of the replaceable cannister with the Fluval 88 So I think Paul is right the only way to do it would be to replace the L/H threaded and put same as R/H nipple.Anyone know where I can buy one of these? Did a quick search earlier with no luck :(

I have bought a Dupla CO2 Mangnetventil I was hoping to connect this to my Fluval 88 but the inlet on the Magnetventil is a M8 screw thread. The tubing for the 88 is 6mm so does anyone have any idea how I can convert the thread to a nipple?

I would say they will be excellent. I use 2 all in one mixes from them and have brilliant results. On a tank that size they will last you ages! If you need more specific advice they have a forum here or contact him directly, he is only too willing to help you for specific needs.

Contacted Hagen they think its a faulty needle valve so I have to return and have replaced under warranty. Just updating in case any others have an issue that is similar.

Tank update, have added 1 more piece of rock and given the plants a trim. Some of the Helferi melted and died but 2 pieces have started to recover :)
