Can't see it working like that. The auto doser needs separate reservoirs for the fert solutions, where are you intending to put them? Both sides of the peristaltic pump tube are in the sump. As for the humidity/ condensation issue this would need to be checked based on the IP rating of the auto...

Thinking of upgrading to the WRGB II (possibly pro). The deal breaker for me is if the light forgets the pre set channel levels if power is fully cut from the fitting. I use a a separate all in one controller for the full tank and want to continue to use this.

Evening all owners of an EA900 While i understand there may be many contributing factors related to water evaporation. So this is a straw poll and not scientific. What evaporation rate do you experience, how often do you have to top up and how much does your water level drop?

I use both the thin and thick versions (gp and HV) from toolstation, thin with fag filters for hardscape and thick for buce on rocks and wood. As with all superglue it does turn white in water so use sparingly on plants.

Gonna suggest the simple, why mix up such large quantities? Make smaller batch say 3 weeks worth and you should be ok....

As far as I'm aware it's the FeEDDHA that causes the pink tinge, if you want to get rid of it you will need to stop replace it with DTPA, if you dose when you have a ph less than 7.0 you should be ok.

Important part of co2 is making sure you have enough going in. Measure water ph before the co2 switches on, and measure again at lights on....you are looking for a 1 point drop in the 2 figures.

My RO unit has dual membrains and has a waste to production ration of around 1.5:1, still some waste but not 90%. Produces water with tds of 12

Adding ammonia only increases the likelihood of algea. That is why frequent high volume water changes are recommended during start up. The tank will cycle without adding ammonia.

Simple answer. There is no need to use ammonia, ditch the idea and let the cycle happen naturally.

Nothing better than a bit or cussing and adrenaline to get the job done!

I would just hit it with a club hammer with the rock sitting on a concrete path or similar. You will get more natural fragments not using a bolster

I would check out Camozzi RFO/RFU needle valves, I have retro fitted these to a CO2 Art regulator and they perform flawlessly.

I also use siporax, but decided to use it loose in my canister as the net bag prevented it from lying flat. My concern was the water would easily bypass the media if constrained to the net. I have no idea about hydrodynamics so whether this is correct thinking is open for debate

This is exactly what I run on my EA 900 from 00.00 to 06.00. Not totally silent but very close. Impressed with the lime wood diffuser it produces bubbles which are the smallest of all diffusers I have tested

It seems that everytime somebody mentions Anubias Snow White it is because it is melting. I can't recall anybody being able to grow this, even some of the members that I would regards as semi pro's have no positive results. What are your thoughts on the plant?

Can't quite see the point.....in my mind in a planted tank, soil is for the tank and filter media is for the filter. How you would clean out the natural detritus that collects in the filter every month? Because we use high lph all I can imagine is a compacted mud ball in the filter!

With suction cups they can be easily recovered by dropping them in a mug of boiling water for a couple of minutes, they have memory and will return to the original shape. This can be repeated many times. No need to buy any more.

Hmmmm, yes good call, was just about to hunt through my spares to see if still had one spare......are you able to remove the needle valve and see if you are getting co2 through the reg. If nothing comes out then it looks like it is the reg that is at fault.

I had a similar issue and the release pin had dropped out of the adaptor.....i had to buy a spare one fro co2 supermarket

Decided to move some of the plants around as one of my Buce's was causing too much of a shadow.....didn't realise just how big it had got until I removed it! About 1 year of growth from 3 small stem each with 6/7 leaves.

After many attempts to grow Pinnatifida i have finally had some success. My goal is to promote bushing effect with side shoots. I feel it is now time to prune the plants, from the picture where should I be targetting my cuts? Would be good if somebody could mark on the picture!
