Are most of you using the regulators without the pressure gauge on them? Is the only advantage of having the gauge been able to see when the bottle is about to run out? I'm trying to decide if I should go with a gauge or not.. Thanks

Hi Mitch, I would be very interested to see you light set up if you have any pictures. I haven't done anything to improve the flow, I'm using the tank as a dedicated shrimp tank so at the moment I don't feel that it is necessary. Have you got any plans to improve the flow?

I think this is the problem. I found out today that I live in a soft water area so I think adding the buffer is removing what little calcium I have in the water. I have stopped using it and have added a small amount of cuttlebone to the tank. I will monitor the shrimps behaviour and fingers...

Literally this second witness another shrimp moulting and exactly the same issue, it's head and tentacles are stuck in the old shell. That is now 3 with the same problem, things are not looking good... :(

Ok thanks for that, I will stop using it and see if there is any change in their behaviour and moulting. The liquid fertiliser which I am using has very small amounts of of copper in it but we are talking only about 0.0005% is this likely to cause any issues?

Non of them have had any issues before moulting, these two are the first although I did have one die a few weeks back but I'm unsure of what caused its death. The only other thing that I have started adding is Waterlife PH Buffer to try and lower the PH as straight out of the tap it is close...
