Latest FTS. Have run out of co2, can't get to the gas place until next week grrr. Also please excuse my angel fry container! Trying to raise about 40 angel fry myself, as the parents are quite useless! The ricca at the front floated off...

I added 2 more lights to my juwel flaps, nidnt look very tidy, but it worked. Could be made to look tidyer, but i was lmited to 2 T8s, and wanted T5's, I have photos somewhere...

I still have tonnes of moss left in Tupperware boxes! There is some moss in there, but it's kinda hidden at the moment!

I know it's not spiky moss, I have some of that as well in a tank. I'm thinking possibly it may be peacock moss (as I know I had some of that) but as it's grown under very very low light, because the tank was literally full of it, it has become more elongated than usual?

I have a full bucket of it! It was in my shrimp cube, I finally thinned it out. It does grow very well!

So you have some similar to this?

I'm pretty sure it's not java. Java is all stringy and there is no 'shape'?

Thanks for the nice comments :) Yeah, they spawned like clockwork every 2 weeks in my old 5ft, on the glass, on plant leaves, but favoured the filter inlet recently, which is a nightmare logistically!! Had them with another pair of angels, so the eggs never lasted more than 2 days. This time...

I have 'a' in my tank. There is some seepage of the cat litter ontop of the sand, but nothing too serious. I shoud/will put some more sand in as I didnt make the cap very deep. I would do the same again. I still do daily dosing however :)

Thanks for your nice comments :) it was certainly a challenge getting my other half to agree to a larger tank, but worth it in the end! I'm now trying to sneak in smaller additional shrimp tanks, with varying levels of success! The plants are most certainly growing well. Rarely have to remove...

No I haven't yet. I have all the bits here, I just need to get my gas refilled, borrow a drill bit that is big enough for the bulkheads, and get my finger out and do it!

Latest FTS. Running on liquid carbon at the mo, until I can get my gas filled up, hopefully Friday :)

It did cost a small fortune...but it's worth it. Goin to be selling on the bits I don't use, so hopefully will make a little bit of money back :)

I have made some progress. Fitted the a pneumatic bulkhead to one of the filter unit heads, to enable the co2 tube to pass through. Looks like it will work a treat :) I'll post a pic tomorrow :)

The only good thing about the overgrown left hand side is that it creates a nice sheltered and secluded spot for my pair of angels, and I have a nice cave from the wood for my apistos, but it looks messy to me.

Hmm, my filter housing is labelled up in the opposite way, 'in' goes into the middle of the unit, and then would go down through the bottle, then up and out through the sides if than makes sense?

Yeah it's all shrimp friendly already, it's where they are living at the moment, but using an inert substrate, so not ideal conditions. Want them happy and breeding :)

I got the filter housings I linked to above in this post somewhere, paid an extra £5 to get some connectors, but they are straight ones, not elbow. Thought they'd be ok, but no :(

Welllllllll, I have made a start, but I hit a hurdle. I definately need elbow joints to fit the hose onto the units. The attachments at the moment stick out too far, and cause the hoze to kink :( However, I have successfully frilled and put the bulkheads into one of the head of the water...

Good examples, the only one I found was this one, but again, it's only opinion really rosemary branch I think I will chance it, the branches look nice :) and they are quite dead, so I'm sure all oil etc...has vanished.

Apparently you can't use rosemary, the oil is toxic. Shame :(

What about rosemary? I had a rosemary bush last summer that has died (I'm not very good with outdoor plants) and as a result, the branches are all dry and twiggy, will look nice :)

I hate that I over think things. I'm now thinking that once that bulkhead is screwed onto the unit, the bottom bit will stick into the pipe so much that it may impede flow a bit? It's a bit if a narrow gap as it is (3/4" ports) and if half of the pipe is obscured by re bulkhead? The only...
