    CO2 cylinder pressure

Hi I'm currently using a 2KG FE and I can get a maximum of about 35psi with my CO2 Art regulator by turning it right up to maximum. Just wondered if this was normal? It's not a problem, it's just that I expected to be able to produce a higher pressure than this... Thanks Will.

AQUARIO Neo CO2 Diffusor or UP Aqua Inline for 180L high Tech?

Hi I've recently started up a new aquarium. It's an Aquascaper 900 (3ft) high tech / CO2 injected / EI. All is going brilliantly at the moment. My question is with regard to CO2 diffusion though: I recently watched a video on YouTube by George Farmer and he mentions that he would not use a...

Order of check valve / bubble counter from regulator

Hi, I'm setting up my new CO2 regulator and bought the ADA clear parts set which contains suction cups, check valve and silicon hosing (for the low pressure side after the check valve). So in the diagram it says that it should be: Regulator > High Pressure CO2 hose > Check valve (high up on...

Anyone had good success with TMC Grobeam 600's?

Hi I'm currently changing over aquarium and am going to re-use my 4 TMC Aquaray Grobeams. I was using 2 of them on my closed top 125L but I'm moving to a 180L open top where I can suspend them. I can also improve c02 injection with my new dual stage regulator. Trouble is that I've not had a...

Leaving out GH Booster from EI dosing

Hi I'm currently dosing EI and was wondering if I need to dose GH Booster for EI? I currently have very hard water and mix 50% RO and 50% tap. This gives me a GH of around 7. Can I just dose Potassium Sulphate and Magnesium sulphate at water change instead of GH Booster? My goal is not to...

Slow plant growth in high tech aquarium.

Hi, Just wondered if I could ask a question with regard to my current parameters and dosing regime? I have been running an aquarium for many years, but always been low tech. I recently moved into high tech / co2 injection, so this is all a learning curve currently! The reason I'm posting this...

Hi I have just setup my new 37G (US Gallons) heavily planted with soil bottom etc, etc as per Tom Barr's excellent guidance that states 1.5WPG is the best level to aim for. Just wondering about the lighting now. I have 2 X 25 W EcoAqua LED lamps (these are roughly T8 equivilents according to...

Hi I'm about to order a new Seashell Phoenix custom aquarium in 80x41x50 size to be used as a low tech planted setup. I'm thinking of getting 3 X 25W t8's for it (which are 30" long so fit nicley). I have been reading up and it looks like I need to aim for 1.5WPG to 2WPG of t8 for low tech...
