    Jokes aside. I wrote to the shop and the answer I got was: "Isoetes velata is a quite rare plant that is not difficult to keep but has a slow growing rate. It won´t spread fast like other plants." So it sounds like it's the "real" one... :?

    Last time my fish had fungus I treated with Esha2000 and to my wonder it also killed the BGA. Don't know if you can buy it in UK, but the active stuff in the medicine is: proflavine a derivate from acriflavine. It should do the trick

Every time I try it it won't grow... :( Last time I talked with Troels from Tropica and he suggested that I used some moss as base for the UG, it grew into the moss fine but slowly the leaves got thinner and thinner and fell off!     I've had mine for 3 years now without problems! The only problem I've had with 'em was when I dropped it into the sink when cleaning :roll: But if you want quality I can recommend CAL aqualabs!!! :thumbup:

    I've experimented with the foreground... At the frontglass I've planted Glosso this will fade into HC Cuba and the HC will fade into Elantine Hydropiper. Perhaps it'll give a little depth perspective???

    I don't know yet... I have Taiwan, Singapore, Xmas, mini Xmas, fissidens fontanus, fissidens US mini, Flame, Wiror moss (Fontinalis sp. 'japan'), Crescend Moss (Drepanocladus aduncus) and Stringy moss. So it's hard to choose one! :lol: But I'm thinking fissidens US mini or mini Xmas!

    The water have cleared a bit and I've planted some Hydrocotyle sp. Japan i the middle... Now I only need to plant some Hygrophila. sp. Araguaia & Ludwigia Arcuata and perhaps some fissidens on the roots. Spiky or Xmas moss are also in consideration...

    I've just bought a new lamp with 2 x 150W HQI and 2 x 58W T8 and I'd like to replace the HQI bulbs with Giesemanns because they have a nice spectrum: and coulor temp 5600 K. But anyone with real experience with these bulbs? By the way my tank is 130 x 50 x 50 cm! :wink:

    Actually it was a coincidence I found them... I saw a private sales add on a danish plant site (http://www.akvariumplanter.dk) and bid on them. It only said landscape rocks - nothing about size. I went home to the seller and almost passed out because of their size!!! I've never seen them in that...

    Thanks, I thought the stockings idea was old, it hasn't reached the shores of England :lol: Update: my corys are tearing up the glosso and there's alot of flow in the tank which causes some of the rotala wallichii to float around in the tank, but hopefully it'll soon get some roots! :) But...

    There's some buoyancy in them, but nothing the substrate won't fix. I also hope that it'll give me some extra filtercapacity in some form... Some also use big lavarocks, but the you won't be able to form the hills as you can with the stockings! :wink:
