    Donations

Ok, thanks, yes it helps, was just asked the question how much to donate. Couple of quid sounds reasonable for any of the plants I would have enough of to give away. Cheers Dave

    Donations

Hi Just a quick question, what would people recommend donating to UKAPS if I give plants away to other members. I personally do not want any money for them so I think a donation to UKAPS would be good. Thanks Dave

What can I do with this?

Hi All Took a shot of one of my 54 litre tanks, it needs something doing to it but not sure what. So any suggestions. This tank always seems to look dirty (Probably does not help that a L015 is in there, stirring everything up) Thanks Dave

    New tank Journal

I personally like the look of this substrate, do not like gravel and I have Tropica/JBL/Tetra with sand in my other tanks, so wanted something different. As the tank is not completely finished and everything can be moved about as this substate does not make a mess I can add any plants. If you...

    New tank Journal

Hi All Well I have never done a journal before, never really thought of taking pics whilst setting a tank up, well I started yesterday and thought it would be good idea to see what people thought and get opinions on how to make it look better. Tank - 30x30x35 (31L) Aquatic Nature Cocoon...

    Plant ID

Many Thanks for this, I think its a little small for Ceratopteris thalictroides, looks very like it though it could be Ceratopteris siliquosa from pics on the internet, whether its the same plant I am not sure. Looks very nice, as long as it does not grow too big.

    New Moss's

Thanks, let me grow them some more, when I have plenty and they have grown, I am pretty sure I will want to swap some different moss's, I really like Fissidens fontanus though.

    New Moss's

Thats a really nice tank you have, great setup, which one is Monosolenium Tenerum, the one I have it looks kind of seaweed looking, maybe its not Monosolenium Tenerum. I have to start growing them first, there is not all that much attached to mesh, when I do will try and do something with them...

    New Moss's

Thanks I am lucky enough to work in belgium, well lucky to have access to quite a few nice plants from the Dennerle range, maybe not work. The moss's are already attached to small mesh at the moment but have really big clump of java moss just sitting on one of my tanks, may try and build a...

    New Moss's

Hi All I have just recently purchased some different types of moss and was wondering whether anyone has any experiences with them. I only have their scietific names. Fontinalis hypnoides Riccardia chamedryfolia could be Riccardia graeffei Blepharostoma trichophyllum Monosolenium Tenerum Any...

    Which Substrate

I am afraid with the fish I have Akadama probably would not be the best, I also prefer the look of sand, so would rather a bottom subtrate then top it off with Black Sand

    Which Substrate

Thanks for the Information. I actually have Tetra and Jbl in my 2 other tanks. Is Tropica any better, according to the amount needed then I believe Tropica will work out cheaper but can only be ordered online, with Tetra and Jbl I can actually get both locally. Thanks Dave

    Which Substrate

Hi All I am wondering what is the best substrate out there for the cost. I have decided that I am going to rescape my 400 litre tank, 150x52x60,it has too many plants and to be honest does not look great visually, too much green and I never actually see any fish. Its a low tech tank, roughly...
