Merry Xmas to you too !!
  31. sdlra

    10 k White

Many thanks for such a clear informative answer
  32. sdlra

    10 k White

I guess the fuss is more from the manufactures then ? Does the Light types effect the PAR levels then ? I notice in one of your PFK articles you mentioned levels of 30-75 ?
  33. sdlra

    10 k White

so why all the fuss about kelvin then ? and when you read about it talks about 6500 k for plants then ? :?:
  34. sdlra

    10 k White

i understant plants prefer 6500 k better hence checking, although i also understand that plants adapt ? so kelvin not that imp ?
  35. sdlra

    10 k White

using 4 x 39watt t5 2x plantpro and 2x original tropical pro. find it too pink for my likeing.I dont think Marine white at 14k would be be good and cant get hold of 8k daylight anymore so thought 10k would be good and even out the look ? and how will it effect the plants ?
  36. sdlra

    10 k White

Can anyone give info or experiences using 10 k in a planted tank just want to boost light a bit and do not want to use a Marine white
  37. sdlra

    limnobium laevigatum

No snails at all in the Tank......that's what I think the Luminare is too low.....agreed none of my Fish would do that damage
  38. sdlra

    limnobium laevigatum

Thanks to all will spend the time getting rid of all the damaged leaves etc not sure what would be eating eat though? Have Rams Cardinals and Rummy Nose will increase dosing but still convinced that they might have too much light 39wX4 and the Luminare being too low as on bracket not suspended...

  80. sdlra

    When ?

I have increased the surface movement at the top and this seems to have done the trick
  81. sdlra

    When ?

just concerened the slight film on top is due to lack of co2 despite good indicator etc...... good water movement 50% water chacges good filtration just that bit need to master

no just getting a very light film on top of the tank just wondering if i need more co2 at the start. have good water movement 50% water changes just this slight film puzzling me
  83. sdlra

    When ?

there is always a lot of debate about when to turn on and off co2 is there a right or wrong answer ? At present mine goes on at the same time as my lights but goes off an hr before my lights go off is this ok ?
