Thankyou for your reply. I shall carry out extra water changes in the hope that the little Danio in question will be able to over come his difigurement. I believe wholeheartedly that 'fiddling' with the chemistry, eg: medication, makes things worse although I am worried that it may spread the...
Hello, yes I do mean Amano Shrimp (not cherry shrimps etc). I understand that I should not reach for the medication double quick but this particular fish is not pale as in shade but has pale blotches as though it is the beginning of a fungal disease. P.S. I have been keeping tropical fish for...
Hello everyone,
Is there a General Tonic that I can safely use with my mature algae shrimp.I am aware that I cannot use products containing 'copper'(although there does seem to be some debate over tolerance to this chemical). I have read on the net that Tetra Genral Tonic is safer to use, I...
Thank you for your generous comments. I think fish are happier in the 'jungle' style decor. They seem more sucure and more inclined to spawn. I am contantly getting babies from the Emporer Tetras. I try not to disturb the fish too much by fiddling with it. Thats the way I like it. :D
Thank you for your compliment. :)
I believe it is ricia. I do try to anchor it down into the gravel, but it often gets dilodged by the fish. I don't mind though as the Emporer Tetras often spawn in it.
Thank you so much for posting my pics. Mys husband has just go in and worked out how to do it for me, and I have now edited my origional post with the pics.:).
Still can't get the photos to copy and open up on the postreply box. I have tried everything I can think of and followed your instructions regarding imageshack. Help!
Hi, I am lucky enough to have a Tiger Lotus that is currently in bloom. I have had to 'allow' it to come through the top of the tank by moving the lids to the tank sideways slightly.
My question is, once it has flowered, what is the care procedure thereafter. I have consulted the book Aquarium...
Thanks for the great advice, I think you have made my mind up for me. The only downside is shall have save hard as I have seen they start at about £90 per strip thats without the mounting rails but I know I will save in the long run. Thank you very much :D
Thank you for your reply. I would prefer to keep the hood, which is 3 flat squares of metal to keep the fish in and the dust out and are spayed white by the manufatures to reflect light. I have seen the TMC Aquaray on line and I am considering this system. I understand your description of...
Re: 120cm - George of the Jungle
This is my kind of tank. I love the jungle look. I think the fish prefer it too, they seem to in mine. Truly stunning. :D
Hello everyone, I wonder if anyone could advise me on what LED lighting system to replace the T8 Tubes system that came with the purchase of the tank 5 years ago. Has anyone done this on this particular model of tank before?
My Aquarium is heavily planted, growth is supplimented with Aqua...
Re: Six years of 'scaping
