It was all going so well

So the CO2 is going in, I'm dosing additional MgSO4 to get this closer to 10ppm and I've got some 8% DTPA which I'm adding at 0.5 ppm. Question - should I be cutting back the plants to remove the sad leaves and give them a chance to grow back fresh? Or is this going to stress them more? Thanks!

Ok, given the various advice above, I'll tune in the CO2, reduce the lights and start adding some Epsom salts to increase the Mg. Thanks again

So the injected CO2 is new. Before that I was "successfully" using liquid CO2, but when the plants started to discolour I decided to move to gas. (Yes, I'm aware that they probably have up trying to get the CO2 I was putting in, which is why I went to gas ;-) ) The trace elements are these -...

It was all going so well

Haha - to be clear - I turned the lights up after it started looking like this. Misguided, but I was convinced I was providing enough fertilisers due to the dosing and I'd just added injected CO2. The lights will get reduced again now that I know it's not that 👍 My dosing to date has been based...

So, having set this tank up at the beginning of the year and successfully riding out early algae issues to get to a consistent clean state, my plants now seem to be unhappy. 90l superfish scaper 90 tank with lights set to max. 45% at peak (following sun-up to sun-down intensity chart for...

So I'm starting to see quite a bit of BGA now. I had to trim a lot of my moss to get rid of it this week (photo below a couple of days after the trim) and it seems to be enjoying working it's way around the Helanthium. I've dialled down the maximum light from 65% to 50% which seems to have...

I thought I'd update this thread with some progress for anyone that's interested. Flora: Everything seems to be doing really well. After the above conversation about ferts I settled on dosing alternate days with Tropica Specialised one day, followed by the FloraGrow the following day, so each...

This is great! I had some Tropica Specialised land today, so will start dosing with that from tomorrow. Should help given that I've currently got no fish load ;-) Thanks so much for taking the time to look at this. Much appreciated.

This is the stuff that came with the SuperFish tank - Moderately planted - Colombo Having had a look they also seem to do one that comes with Nitrates and Phosphates, but this isn't the one that comes with the tank - Heavily planted - Colombo

Thanks both! I have this from the label on the bottle if it helps (apologies for the stitched image)?

Hello, hello! I had a planted tank years ago, but a house move and children got in the way and have only recently got to the point where I can get back into it. Being super rusty, I’d love to call on the combined knowledge of the group to help me help myself and try and spot any issues with my...
