Ok cool thanks for the reply appreciate it. The tap water here is fairly hard and I use fkc aquarium salt as a pH buffer which raises the GH as well. I haven't tested it yet but I'd assume the GH is around 12. So maybe at first try turning the C02 on 2 hours before the lights then off 1 hour...

There is no build up of water at all. I haven't soaked the water even to the bottom of the soil. Open the cling wrap up a little? Zeus there is still that one spot up the top where the leaves don't seem to have fully matured. They haven't opened up completely and gone that lush green colour like the rest of the carpet :grumpy: will they eventually fill out? It's been 10 days now since I started it

It's a 60 litre tank but only about 50L is usable as it has a fake back with a sump style filtration system. The pump is 600lph. The light is a smd 12w white and some green LEDs. :cool: the switch unfortunately changes the output brightness Everytime it's turned on/off

Thanks man. Did some research, just paid for a nice one with a bubble counter and magnetic solenoid so it will turn off at night. I'm guessing now all I need is the bottle and a diffuser. I'm sort of excited now this is cool as my first high tech tank lols :woot:
