    urgent hydor Heater Question

Boil a tank of healthy fish, certainly helps you focus on what heater not to buy. Particularly if you have had the same make with problems previously. The higher the wattage, the smaller the tank, and it happens so quickly. I agree with others a additional thermostat is a good way to go.

Fluval Edge Shrimp Tank - A few questions

Some shrimps are more CO2 tolerant than others. However, I personally would not use CO2 or liquid carbon in a 'low tech planted tank with shrimps in mind" containing only 23 ltr. Some people are successful with it. But for me the risk outways the benefits. Moss with shrimps works well.

    Polystyrene Base Nightmare

    CRS shrimp requirements

    What is killing my shrimps?

For me the most helpful piece of kit i own as a shrimp/soft water user is a TDS pen. Spend what you can afford, mine cost about £10. Use it for all water that goes in or out of the tank. Hope your problems are solved.

Generally a max of one very small feed a day, and one day a week with no food. For healthy fish in mature tanks. I think its safe to say, few fish in our tanks die of starvation, indeed the opposite is probably the case. Plus the water quality issues with heavy feeding. As has already been...
