    zeolite and purigen

I'm prety certain both the purigen and the zeolite go at the top of the filter after all other media, so youd have one in each filter - thats what ive done with mine anyway. I was told to have enough zeolite to fill a tray in my ex700 and that was around 500g of zeolite.

Washing sand in a planted tank?

Hi everyone, Going to be putting the sand in my tank soon, just unsure whether anyone washes their sand in a planted tank? I'm using naturesoil aswell as sand, so the water clarity shouldn't be too bad, and the sand itself is good quality, clean sand. Should I wash it? Cheers Alex

Hi Vito Take a look here viewtopic.php?f=17&t=6317 I am using thin strips of perspex to seperate my naturesoil from my sand, but the problem with this is it isn't too flexible, so take a look at the stuff saintly reccomended.
