Almost all crypts are extreme melters. They will look like sh*t for the first 1-2 weeks generally. With my crypts only one leaf stayed on the plant but they soon grew back healthy and faster than ever before. Especially when your not running co2. If I were you I would get a co2 booster type...

Hey rebel, it is a very nice scape.........wish it was mine [emoji24][emoji23]. If I were the OP I would fill it half way with water, let the water seep into the wood and weight it down a little bit more. Then the OP could drain,Plant, and fill it back up and it should hold fine.
