    ‘Lazarus’...80x40x40, back on track!

Aye Cookies, great to see you are still at it. This turned out to be absolutely perfect, well done. You have inspired me to get my old scape back in shape!

Yep, I had read that too so opted for the Pygmy corydoras this time. They definitely do spend more time higher up in the tank than my Corydoras habrosus.

Thanks! Not necessarily sand, just a soft substrate. I have the ADA Aqua Soil Powder, which is very small grain size and not abrasive, like say a gravel substrate. They poke around in the carpet and exposed soil areas quite happily.

Also added 10 new Corys :) The left side of the tank needed some rearranging too. The moss archway had eventually collapsed and was removed, replaced by some extra drift wood I had and a few Anubias Nana Mini. I then realised that this new stick lent itself quite nicely to site over these...

This little tank passed the 4 year mark this summer! It's gone through many changes over the years. Since being in our new house for 2 of those years, this side of the tank has been annoying me. The scape was set up to be viewed from the front left corner, but where it sits now we spend more...

thank you both! I am really happy with how it has developed. I did try to pick fish that were naturally found in shallow water courses, even though I never had a biotype in mind, I think this is still quite natural for them all. made quick clip from a video I took the other month...

I really enjoy looking at this tank. Dream set up! Good call with the big trim back, that most recent picture looks so natural. if you do still go with Ficus pumila I am sure it will go crazy and you will enjoy making it wrap around things to fill gaps. Just be weary of its aggressive roots...

Had a very daunting task of moving house, and did not want to disassemble this tank. There is no way I would have got the shrimp out of there, so I knew I was going to have to get clever. love the tank! it looks even better now that some algae has covered the rocks, very natural. I have some Lilaeopsis brasiliensis in my mixed carpet.. it seems to be hardy and spreads on its own quite easily in my low tech set up. A decent option if you still want a grassy look, but compact.

I keep 2 in my little shallow scape, but I started them from bulbs which took ages. The plus side being you can then keep the leaves small with frequent trimming. If you have a taller scape they can still be encouraged to grow into a big compact growth, with bigger leaves and varying stem...
