Hi My Taiwan bee tank's PH is around 4.6, and KH is 0, how can increase the PH to 6.2 without increasing KH? Planted tank sump design - need your feedback. :-)

Me too with my first sump. With the second sump I had build I made sure there was enough space to take the overflow water from the tank if there was a power cut. I've got another small compartment same size as the foam compartment where all the brown poop gathers. Makes it really easy to clean.

It's best to draw it out on paper first so you can calculate the size of each chamber and what you want to place in that chamber, and plan out the pipework. I've got a box of valves, elbows reducers etc left over from my build due to not planning the pipework out correctly and then changing my...

    Struggling with Shrimp/Planted tank advise

All depends on what shrimp you want to keep. If you want to keep CRS or Taiwan bee shrimp I would get your tds down to below 180 and your gh to between 2-4. CO2 and Lights When To Start?

You could start the tank off with liquid CO2 which will also help combat potential algae issues then move to CO2. I've started both my nano tanks this way and haven't had any real issues with algae. As for lights I usually start with 6 hours and gradually increase and have my LED light at 80%.
