A 600g bottle used to last me two to 4 weeks on my 400 litres tank! This was with using a reasonably efficient rhinox diffuser below a filter outlet. Above comment is right though, i would go external reactor for this size tank. I just about get away with one ceramic diffuser.

They arrived from Greenline as plants of about 4 inches or smaller. I have injected co2 from FE at 2bps and approx 2.7 wpg. Ill keep track on them - still no real sign of growth yet and they've been in for three weeks or so.

hmmm...i have a tank of similar volume to yours - its a Rena classic 120x50x70. I use one Eheim 2329 thermo wet/dry filter - rated pump output 1050 l/h. It seems to perform adequately for me on my 100gals. Not knowing your filter types very well it is difficult to say these would be the problem...

ADA stuff seems very over priced to me - surely NPK is NPK whatever medium it is delivered in? I try and use powdered ferts from AE wherever i can - at 400 litres running my tank with ADA stuff would be out of my budget and im reasonably well off!

I really would recommend Flourish Excel for this....i found that i had a green hair algae problem (despite have lazy SAEs!!) and bought a large 5 litre bottle of this stuff and dosed every water change. I now have no algae problems at all bar the normal presence of black spots on dead leave etc...
